I'm lost
September 2002

Anyone heard of Atmospshere? If you like hip-hop that doesn't live in a fantasy world then check this shit out. With songs like "I love you. Don't ever fucking question that", how could you go wrong. It is hip-hop that isn't afraid to be real, emotional and open. Not just the bitches, benz, ice routine. eeek

I think people who post that shocker photo are also really funny.

Spot which of the above is a lie. Yep, you got it.

Y'know a simple "There ain't no such god damn thing as emo hip-hop!" would've sufficed.

Have you listened to the artists listed in this thread?
I don't know what Emo is (I've been tempted to start a thread about it, just to irritate those who dislike massively repeated threads), but some hip hop is really freaking awesome.

The last time someone started this thread I think I mentioned that MC Lars is pretty fucking cool and I love the song Chris Martin did with the Streets.

i got a kick out of it. senor buzzkill.

might as well add something musically to this after all... i think i'd consider K-OS emo hip hop, if i had to make a box, label it 'emo hip hop' and put something inside of it. Not the whiny 'my girlfriend left me cause i write too many songs about her' emo, but a socially aware, emotionally invested type of emo... and obvious hip hop influence. Some track on the Ghostface album lend themselves to the same classification, but thats more Soul... i guess. whatever, you just love the shocker, no?

You all should listen to Immortal Technique.
It's not emo-ish, but not all bitches and hoes and bling (although that can be fun too). It's really political but still good.
