After being diagnosed with not only strep throat but with Laryngitis as well, Shadows Fall singer Brian Fair refuses to cancel any shows because of his voice (or lack of).

Fair states ...

Shadows Fall is currently on tour with Damage Plan and the Haunted.

How's about destroy your vocal cords during a spurt of hubris and never sing again? Take a pass until you are healed, dude, and don't do something that you will regret for the rest of your career...

I saw The Deftones when Chino's voice was going out, It was there worst show.

I respect him alot more after hearing that.

Sounds like he's begging for some long term pain--the guitarist does most of the clean sung vocals anyway, especially live, but it's the screaming that kills the throat. He should probably take the time off and just reschedule the shows at the end of tour. Metal can wait.

I am imagining him throwing up his vocalcordes after a realy huge growl. The image won't leave my mind. He should chill, fans will probably be more pissed off if he never sings again.

Bring back Overcast!

yea, i think he should take a breather and recuperate.. it would suck if he destroyed his voice.
