Norwegian black metallers DIMMU BORGIR will enter Gothenburg, Sweden's Studio Fredman in March to record the follow-up to last year's "Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropy" opus for a summer 2003 release.

"The new material sounds extremely apocalyptic and militant, grim and somber and there is a distinct presence of no mercy to them," explained guitarist Silenoz. "We're extremely excited and confident about the nine songs we've got so far and we're very much looking forward to starting the recording process at Studio Fredman in the beginning of March 2003. We're just gonna keep writing until then and see where it leads us, since we see no reason to hold back when we're being this productive and creative."

Not to mention other former members of great bands.

And I think Gian was an awesome guitarist for Cradle. It might interest you to know that he just left the band after 7 years.

What is it that you find so boring?

Repetetive midpaced riffs for about 3 minutes straight get a little boring. And the lack of hooks is disturbing.

You are generalizing. I work as the metal director for a college radio station and can tell you I know tons of bands whose riffing is neither mid-paced nor repetitive.

It seems to be the popular thing these days, amongst metal fans, to say this. I will agree that it is not 'traditional black metal' But I think their diversity is awesome. Both bands have been around for awhile and really matured musically. Their original sound was very raw and primitive black metal, then they got a new sound and evolved with it. The 'true' fans of the genre will call them posers and what not, I call them awesome and original.

You want a cookie? I bake them while I practice my dance moves to the latest The Gathering.

I wouldnt call them posers and i also definitely wouldnt say that cradle has matured musically. I think that their most musically sophisticated album is Dusk and Her Embrace...by far...not only is it good music, but its very well written, since then theyve written boring simplistic "poppy" crap. And this is coming from someone who listens to plenty of poppy crap, i just dont feel it fits in that kind of music. It just doesnt sound good...and plus, what the fuck happened to Dani's voice? it used to be really good and then went to utter shit. I just think that cradle is a dissappointment these days. And as far as Dimmu goes, i never really liked them in the first place but whatever.
