I think ATR has got to be my favorite band ever. Thank you to everyone who recommended them on my last thread about Prodigy. Anybody else have similar bands to these two to recommend?

I'm so excited about the new ATR CD that's supposed to come out this month and the new Prodigy CD that's supposed to come out next spring!

back when i used to drive, i was flipping through the stations when something rocked my world so hard that i actually had to pull the car over (i was never a *good* driver). once i regained my composure, i drove right to the record store and bought an ATR cd. i have to be in the right mood to listen to it now, but that was the only time that a piece of music has hit me so hard.

ATR are no more for now since Carl Crack died in fall 2001, but the rarity album "Redefine The Enemy" is coming out at the end of Nov, though no track listing has been posted, i have gotten it from a promo copy and it's all stuff from singels really, a couple of rare mixes, still worth a buy if you don't have the import albums and single, or if you like them at all.

i like ATR and alec empire. nothing like a pounding 909 and some nihilistic screaming in your brain...

fans might want to check out other hardcore techno and gabber shit. DJ Fishead is worth checking out - anyone that mixes Merzbow and Quiet Riot isn't all there, which is a good quality in a hardcore/noise dj. As far as labels go, you may want to check out drop bass: delta-9, mooses on acid, woody mcbride, etc.

ATR and PWEI are both awesome. you should all check out Mindless Self Indulgence. they rock my world like a limestone cavern. songs to check out: Tornado, Bitches, Faggot, Tight, and Dickface. those are a good intro to their sound. i was sad when i heard carl crack died; ATR have been one of my favorite bands for a long time. but, rarities are good!
