cause right now I'm working on a band that it going to sound like a mix from them and Neurosis. does that Sound like something you will like? good, cause thats what I wont.
his hero is gone is definitely one of the best hardcore bands ever. why else would there be a ton of other bands that either sound like them or get compared to them all the time. living near their area was great cause i got to see them about a hundred times. better and better everytime. sad that they fled tennessee in that great punk rock migration to portland. boo.
does anyone know what they tune too? I think B cause I picked up my guitar last night and played abuot 3 of there songs right on. I really hope they don't play in B cause I HATE B, my guitar was just in that tuneing cause my old band played in B. But how can I get that HHIG sound?

i want to say it was C because i think that's what from ashes rise was tuning to and i used to live with those guys and they were heavily influenced and good friends with his hero...but it very well could've been B. but to get that sound, all you need is a old peavey vtm 120 head and you're set.
yea, if your really trying for a perticular sound, you could do alot worse than to try and sound like his hero. its good to have a direction to go in but really once you find the right people to play with, dont try too hard to copy/or be like any other band. just play the music you play and like.
yeah, I know what you are saying, HHIG is just the TYPE of music I'm going for, I'm going to throw some metal riffs, some rock riffs and some pretty emo soft guitar riffs in it, but the style is what I'm really going for, but with a twist, you know?
