This could quite possibly be the weirdest thing to happen (for me) in months.....
SK was on Conan last night! Now I know there are some fans out there lurking in the SG woods. Did I not realize that they were that well known? Was it my imagination?
It is very odd to see a band perform, with you and about 15 other people in the crowd and then to see them on TV. Very strange indeed. Oh I guess 7 years or so have passed since then. Maybe I am being too selfish. It was exciting to see them on TV, but also somewhat of a disapointment?!?! Does this make sense. I am way too guarded of my musical interests.
But hey, I can't be that upset. I taped it, proving that it was not a dream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it did make me smile to see those 3 girls rock out on NBC, proving that they can still kick rock ass.

their new album has gotten really great reviews and they have blown up this year because of it. I was totally shocked the other day when i was watching jeaporday and they were like...this girl trio from olympia won the best rock trio or some bullshit like that and i was like...no way..and he was like..sleater kinney..and i was like..holy shit!! rock!! weird shit, right?

Yeah i taped them last night. They rocked so hard in that performance.

Having seen many people were in the crowd for them at Sirenfest, i am not too surprised. And Conan sometimes gets slightly weirder stuff in than say, Leno or Letterman.

They're really fuckin good. i dont know what kind of music you listen to, but i remember the first time i heard them (an ex girlfriend of mine loved them), all i could think was "this fucking SUCKS"/. but the more i listened to them the more i liked them, and i'd probably say they're my favorite band. or at least in the top 2. their latest album has been growing on me, but i wasnt too thrilled with their last one. IM me if you want some mp3's of them.
