I used to be a big fan of Jenny Toomey. I totally admire and respect everything she has done from Simple Machines to The Future of Music Coalition. She should be a role model to all the little boys and girls for her tireless efforts crusading for musicians rights. She's the coolest.
I haven't heard all of her last 2 solo records but the new one features all songs written by our own hometown hero Franklin Bruno (Nothing Painted Blue). In addition to his songwriting, he writes critricism for the LA Weekly and teaches philosphy at UCLA.
I was glad to see Jenny's name appear here.
