Death Letter Blues (calling all guitarists)

Ok so "Death Letter" by Son House is just a fucking amazing song. Right? Right.

Everyone has done it... from Leadbelly to the White Stripes to Diamanda Galas.

I've made it my life's mission (besides winning the moustache contest) to learn to play this song, despite the fact that I'm a terrible musician.

So the rest of you need to play this song. Just for the fun of it. Do it. I wanna hear how other people interpret it. YEAH!

I have a DVD w/ footage of Son performing it, and the first time I saw it I burst into tears. No kidding, I was THAT moved by his passion and intensity.

son house is amazing. an old friend of mine who was heavy into the delta blues could play 'death letter blues' perfectly. i should have had him teach me the damn thing, but i shall attempt to fumble my way through it.

i didn't know the white stripes covered it, though. that must be terrible.
