Mike Ness may be fun to listen to, I love him, but he does have some of the most awkward lyrics going.

Genius? No.

He's a cool guy. Took him to a few art show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles when I was interviewing him for a magazine I did back in the early nineties. He was more into his car club back then than his music. He's a strait foreword guy... what you see is what you get. Very passionate about his lifestyle (greaser retro stuff, ya know.) But is he a genius (musical or otherwise) No. Does he have more passion for his music than current pop icons of today. Yes.

i liked mike in The Decline of Western Civilization. When he performed Mommys little monster. I like to think of him wiping mascara down his face. He trapped in time like that for me.

social distortion was in the decline of western civilization? part which? i don't remember them being there...are you sure you're not talking about "Another State Of Mind," where mike discusses the benefits of wearing eyeliner?

i am fond of Social D. in the 80's...

wait...so what exactly did i goof up? the decline of western civilization has 3 parts...i'd only seen part ONE (1981), and it's been 10 years since last i saw it, i know social d wouldn't be in part TWO (1988)- the metal years, and i was pretty sure that part THREE 1998 only had nineties punk bands, such as Final Conflict and Naked Aggression, but since i didn't see it, there very well may have been some sort of flashback 'mommy's little monster' mike ness mascara wiping scene that i was unaware of.

so, please, tell me which metaphor i goofed up or words i mixed up that seemed so endearing to you.

i meant the 'which' more as a 'blank.' i didn't want to say 'which part,' b/c i was afraid that it would imply i was wondering about a paticular part in ONE movie, not that i was wondering about which of 3 different movies. perhaps 'part...which?' or 'part _____?' would've made more sense to you. or maybe 'part what?' maybe then i wouldn't be so insulted at the thought that you think i was trying to say 'which part,' but messed it up with my silly girl brain.

i know you didn't mean it that way, but that's how i read it.

wait a minute...what were we talking about again? mike ness? social distortion? please continue...

y'know i've made this comment once or twice on the SG boards and no one ever seems to take any notice. doesn't anyone think it's at least somewhat interesting that one of my best friends saw him *fellate himself* in her bed after she declined some rock star humping?!!?
