Rapper Jadakiss has garnered a significant amount of attention due to his controversial lyric, "Why did Bush knock down the towers?",found within his new single Why. The NY musician's statement towards his lyrical intent has remained unwavering.

"I just felt he had something to do with that," Jadakiss says, referring to the events of Sept. 11. "That's why I put it in there like that. A lot of my people felt that he had something to do with it."

Hearing Jadakiss addressing political issues is a fairly recent occurrence, the musician, who began his career with hip-hop group The Lox, is better known for his grimy raps about life on the streets.

Saying that the president is responsible for the biggest act of terrorism in US history is the worst thing I ever heard.

If he did it, then why were all the highjackers middle eastern, and why did Osama say he did it?

Because people don't read...

Jadakiss doesn't really believe Bush ordered the towers destroyed — he says the line is a metaphor, and that Bush should take the blame for the terrorist attack because his administration didn't do enough to stop it

let's not forget the security briefings that bush ignored that warned of such attacks that were thought to have been able to take place then

Nice metaphor.

"Your mom is an ugly whore."

"WHAT?!?!"

"Wait... what I meant was your mom isn't an ugly whore, but her tax dollars pay for ugly whores welfare checks..."

I think your comparison there is a bit ridiculous- it's not even degrees of the same thing. Personally, I think that the president and his administration is a joke- they didn't act on standing intelligence that was accessable for a pretty long period of time leading to the attack. I think it's ridiculous to insinuate that a metaphor placing Bushy in the center of the blame-circle isn't accurate, because by most accounts, it is.

You misunderstood my metaphor. The point is the first comment WASN'T A METAPHOR AT ALL. It was a fairly clear statement, then the second is a retraction.

People have the right to say one thing and secretly mean another, but they shouldn't be surprised when people judge them on you know... what they actually said.

Nah, that's Neil Armstrong. A lot of people think he's an astronaut, but he's actually a well-paid government conspiracy actor.

Seriously, though, Bush is a dim little jerkoff, but I don't think it's reasonable to say he wanted the Sept. 11 attacks. Bush didn't need them for an excuse to go to war (behold the unrelated Iraq war), and even he would surely not want to put terrorists who hate him in command of several airplanes. Saying something like this just distracts from all the legitimate criticisms against Bush, so for that Jada can kiss my ass.
