The only guy who can do guitar harmonics correctly is Zakk Wyld. Just listen to the entire "No More Tears" album.

hmmm...I dunno. In my circles (the SF jazz scene) saying "that's pretty Jaco" is an insult, meaning gratuitous bass shredding. The man was a technical genius, no dobt, but his taste leaves a little to be desired, in my opinion.

Towards the end of his life, I understand that he worked pretty hard at making a lot of enemies. I know people that saw him and thought he was nothing more than a jackass. But the first album has some gems on it.

I have a hard time thinking of the particular song I referenced as gratuitous shredding. More than anything else, I just wanted to say that the bass produces harmonics better than the guitar. Portrait of Tracy illustrates that point pretty well, I think.

I'd love to hear some songs mentioned that would refute my claim. That is, if you know of any, especially in your circles.
