so i got my hands on the new converge "you fail me" and it is so good.
its different but totally in a good way. i am way into it. yet its a little too short.
also got my hands on the new old man gloom "christmas" the follow up to thier last release "christmas eve I & II + 6" and i am way into it.a little different but mostly just amazing. i dig it. good stuff. also converge and cave in are going on touring in a few months so check that out. new cave in is amazing. they are going back to thier older sound but yet way more rocking with it. imagine isis gone happy and way more rockish. its a good change even though i love the space rock stuff.

YOU FAIL ME is incredible...i nearly fuckin' died..but it is way too short....i can deal though..though i am a little peaved it took like 3 years to put out a 33 minute album...considering that over a year ago they already had new songs, new "you fail me" tour merch...etc....haha..silly converge...i can even forgive them for thier choice of labels....though epitaph has been putting out some good stuff the last year or so...

I'm really looking forward to the new Converge and Old Man Gloom records. I'm really REALLY looking forward to the Converge / Cave In tour.

I like Cave In, but I'm surprized that they've gone back to being a metal band. In interviews and whatnot they made it loud and clear that they were done playing metal.

I saw them just before Antenna came out at some record store, and Steven Brodsky asked for any requests from their older stuff. Someone yelled Juggernaut, and Steven responded with something along the lines of "we've outgrown our metal days".

Fast forward six months to when they did Lollapalooza, they're playing songs off Until Your Heart stops and comparing their new material to Isis on prozak.

Go figure.
