I'm not sure what to think of this one. I really like Floater and have always had good times at their live shows. I've only been to Dante's on a non-Sinferno night a couple of times but I've always loved the vibe. This was some time ago, but the last time I was there was Floater playing the pre-Sinferno set---Oh what a blissfull eve that was biggrin

One would think tomorrow--errrr, tonight's, show would be a recipe for fun for all, but I'm a bit unsure about the unplugged part. Oh Hell, I'll have to go just to hear it for myself!

I'm lost

I hate you. I wish I was there. Bah. I should've gone and sat on the sidewalk. I love Floater with all my heart! I've been listening to Alter, Burning Sosobra, Angel in the Flesh Devil in the Bone, Glyph, and Sink on rotation for a few weeks. I go through these phases. Damnit! I need my Floater fix! Beautiful Dave and all his mad playing (that somehow gets exponentially better with every album!), Pete and his best-beats-ever drumming and chimes and What? He's Bald??? Yowza!, and Rob who somehow just always knows what to say. "The perfect words you know you've never spoken." God I love Floater. I cum crying against the barrier. It's too bad the violent jocks have found Floater also. I can still take it though. Oh yes Oh yes Oh yes.

But onto the subject at hand. They rule acoustically as well as electrically. Of course, you can sit down (almost) to the acoustic. But it's still lovable heart wrenching FLOATER.

Ohhhh the gross inequity. I'm home for such a painfully short while, yet there is a Floater show in that brief flash---and I couldn't make it mad

While I was away, my folks sold my car---well it wasn't MY car, it was a 'spare' that was inherited from my grandfather and I was the only one who drove it. I must say I was sorry to see that thing go. It was an orange and white '77 El Camino Classic (looked alot like a creamsicle biggrin ). Total chick-mobile!

Anyyyway, strike 1, no ability to drive myself. Strike 2, current location is the faaar border of Beaverton/Portland, so no late-night tri-met. Strike 3, the one night since I've been home that my automobile gifted friend had other plans was--bing--tonight. Ouch, I'm out--do not pass go!

Ahhh, well. Maybe for the best as I am rising early today for a family day trip to the coast plus I need to hang on to what little remains of my between contract savings for my road trip to VAN next week.

At least I can conjour up memories of past shows as some small consolation. Hard to believe that the first time I saw them live was 10 years ago. I'ts fan-fuckin-tastic to see such a great local band still going strong after that much time. They've outlasted some of the clubs I've caught them in biggrin Absolutly Brilliant

They do this every once in awhile, They had one unplugged show a few years back at Music Millenium.

I'm kinda going through Floater withdrawal, I haven't seen them in a LONG time, and I used to go to every show that was at the Crystal.. New Year's with Floater will be rad.
