Hank III

I'm going to see Hank III live for the first time tomorrow. I was just wondering what his shows are like & if anyone else out theres going to his show tomorrow at the Magic Stick?

The songs I've heard of his rock!!!! They are like true country music meets punk music!!!! I hope the show kicks ass!!!

My husband met him when he played in Michigan with Superjoint Ritual and said he was amazing!!!!

Well tell me your thoughts on Hank III

I never got into him myself. I mean, his music sounds like his granddaddy, but the lyrics and vocals sound like he's trying too hard to hit the cliche.

first half of the show will be a punk/honky-tonk mix. they'll be dressed like trailer trash. it's the best part of the show.

they take a break, come out all dressed up in black, and start to metal out.
half the club will leave.

least that's what happened when i saw him.

...honky-tonk hellbilly...leading into some speed metal...look for a diverse crowd...he sometimes hangs out afterwards to drink beer is a real friendly guy...

Do they have a mosh pit at any point during his show?

My husband is playing on making one if one doesn't form!!!!!

Hank 3 = the new hotness

He's playing here in a couple days...I think I'll mostly likely check it out.

On the musicial family tree, this guy isn't far from Kid Rock.

III is the shit. i love his shows and i love both sides to his two faces of music.

watchout for the Hank I & II fans (ol folks in cowboy hats) ... they try to stick out a couple songs but they never make past the 1/2 point

i've got 2 cd's but i haven't seen him live.

i got my jaw dislocated the first time i saw him...and i never miss him when he comes back...always a great show.

Here's a little of what you can expect:

you'll freak. his show is notorious jekyll and hyde.
have fun. i love all his stuff. the hardcore a little more.

It's a really good show and a lot of fun. I recommend checking him out. Often between the country and the hardcore sets he does three or four psychobilly songs.

I agree the show was really good!!!! I loved the psychobilly shit the most!!!! I wish I could drive out to his other show today in Grand Rapids But is to far away and I'm still recovering from last night

Well I got some kick ass photos of him, 2 shirts, 2 stickers, and a cd!!!! Plus I got most of my stuff signed and my husband got his picture with him!!!!
