That's great for metalheads, but totally uninsteresting to me. Looks like Lollapalooza will be my festival or choice this year.

I just decided that if I had one of those alarm clocks that played cds -- I would wake up to Judas Priest's "Pain Killer" every morning. You know I'd get myself psyched for the day ahead.

Throwdown?!?!?!

I'm looking at this list so far, and I'm mainly seeing heavy, nu, and black metal...and they add THROWDOWN?!?!

I saw them in October with AFI. They're fucking horrible!

Slipknot, and blame the media, they made up the word long before I became somewhat media-involved.

That sounds like the line-up for the night I'm dragged kicking and screaming into hell by fiery demons with acid claws...

eh fair enough

but Slipknot did an amazing job with their new album

theyve outgrown the "nu" thing

I said black metal and I was refering to Otep because that's what I've been told they're labeled by kids that listen to them. I wouldn't know, I don't listen to them.

And I will give Slipknot *some* credit. Sounds like Cory is actually singing now. I thought he had only reserved that for Stone Sour.

both Devil Driver & Otep are leaning more towards death metal actually(yes I know Dez was in that monstrosity known as Coal Chamber)

& whether theyre still Black or not its a pretty big accomplishment for Dimmu to be on

still pissed that Sharon screwed over Machine Head though

That's great for you, that doesn't change my musical or personal opinion for them at all.

The Bled dropped off because they couldn't afford it.
And Throwdown are a joke. A good joke, but still a joke.

this is actually been the only ozzfesst line up in a long time i've been interested in.
i'm sad The Bled dropped, because they are fucking amazing.
Throwdown, ... i adore them, but mostly for their version of Baby Got Back.
Lacuna Coil are amazing, and the sweetest people ever.
Dimmu is just damn good.
Lamb of God. Sooooo sick, I listen to the New American Gospel CD almost everyday, and it's just insanity.
Every Time I Die is great as well
but you've all missed over: UNEARTH!!!!!
check them out, they are another amazing band from Massachusetts.
and they are absolutely fucking incredible.

Very much so. I remember when I saw them that there was a huge moshpit going, and fights were breaking out - huge fights - and security was trying to break them up and the lead singer got on security and yelled at them for trying to break up the fights. HELLO! People who weren't even trying to get into the pit were being drug in.

And I guess after their set, some kids saw a couple of the band members in the lobby of the auditorium and went to ask for autographs and the band members gave them mad shit for sticking around to watch All Bets Off and AFI - cussed them out, got in their face and pushed one of the kids into a merch table.

I hate the sxe guys that are like that. They give straight edge a bad image.
Plus, they were just kids! You don't treat kids like that, regardless how how infuriated you are that most of the audience members there came for the main act and not you. Most people that go to a show are going for the main act. You can't avoid that. At least show some respect for the band that invited you to join them on tour by respecting their fans.

yeah, they do give sxe a bad image, and i swear the kids see them, think it's cool to be a dick, and voila there's so many sxe assholes out there. i was sxe, and i really cared, but kids like that made me not even want to be associated with it, and really i like hanging out with my alcoholic friends because at least they're nice and down to earth. ah well, i'm trying to think of a sxe band that isn't known for being dicks, but i can't think of one.
