i've been hooked on this album for a few days now and i threw an overly lengthy review of it into my journal if anyone has a spare 45 minutes to skim through it. Ok its not that long, but the album merits wordy evaluations of Kanye's self consious, humble views. He also throws in enough fast paced classic playa style songs to make the album a flawless listen.

i think it's a great album; plenty of old-school hiphop scattered around it, but a few new sounds to keep you listening. he's good.

..i like a lot of different music.

I just picked up this disc yesterday. It's great.
Slow Jamz and Family Business are incredible tracks. Good to see some really good hip hop/rap in the mainstream again.

This albums is unbelievably solid. It took a few listens to grow on me, and Kanye's raping is still a little rigid, but the album overall is just fantastic. The guest appearances are stellar, as well-- Talib, Mos Def, Common, Luda, Jay-Z... blah blah blah list goes on. It'll be on my Top 20 at year-end, I assume, as it's on my top 10 of 2004 so far.
