Sum 41 are being sued after throwing a hotdog at a fan at a baseball game.

Michael Sudore is filing two lawsuits against the band, seeking out $6 Million in "damages". He claims not to have any knowledge that the footage was being taped OR being used on the bands 2002 DVD release "Does This Look Infected?.

Sudore's lawyer, H Todd Bullard, says that his client has experienced trauma and that his business has suffered.

"He believes his reputation has been tarnished, obviously," said Bullard. "And in addition, it's continued damage each time they sell one [of these DVDs]. Not to mention the humiliation. They picked him out because of his distinct look and pelted him with a hot dog, then surreptitiously taped him and his reaction, and not in the most flattering way."

As of yet, the band have not commented or responded to the lawsuits.

Haha, karma's a bitch. That's what you get for being a shitty band. I say we dispose of any band with numbers in their name. Um, except L7 they ain't bad.

I found that part on the Sum dvd (my little brother has it) and the dude was cussing up a storm and acting like a hick, it wasn't Sum's fault that the guy couldn't take a fuckin joke.

Fuck you old man.

I don't like that band, but I still think it's complete bullshit. 6 Million? COME ON!!!
That's a fucking joke. Give the guy a few grand, and say "Now shut your pie hole". I hope some angry fan of the band smacks him across the face with a cinderblock.

Can we keep Blink182? Their music sucks, but they have funny videos.

i can't tell who the bigger losers are.
the band for actually using footage of them throwing a hot dog thinking it's cool, or the guy for thinking he deserves 6 million dollars for it.

I have dealt with this guy, he's from Rochester. DUDE IS A TWEAKER (he'll probably sue me next). Seriously, this guy is out of his gourd. I just read about that in the local papers and stuff a week or so ago. He says he's related to Rod Serling (twilight zone), and he's actually sued RIT students for using T.Z. ideas for student films. Guy is a tool.

I'd just like to say that although they've got way more crappy songs than cool songs, Sum 41's still got some good stuff. Check out "Pain For Pleasure," "What We're All About (Original Version)" and "Grab The Devil By The Horns And Fuck Him Up The Ass" for examples.

Just because they felt like selling out and writing bubblegum punk doesn't mean they're incapable of rocking.

Oh, and on topic- Does that mean bands can sue the girls that through their underwear at them? confused
