okay, i know they're not afi but this fucking amazing punk from sf is great. all their songs are about killing death, destruction, suicide, and more death. has anyone heard of them? if it helps, their female guitarist is fucking hot.

Supercharger is good, and their album used to be worth a lot of money, but I still like The Rip Offs better.

"got a record" is one of the all time best fucking records ever. if you don't own it, you should own it now. it just got released on cd, with extensive liner notes. buy it. if you can find their 7"s get them too. the first two have been re-pressed on the rip off records "early ones" lp. i think that might be availible on cd too.

of course you know mr t. experience was the band Jon Von was in before starting the rip offs.

They started when dj-ing at KALX in berkeley.

Supercharger and the Zodiac Killers are good bands.

But the lead guy is a real jerk! (Although we share an interest in the zodiac killer) He's played on my radio show and really pissed me off, swearing and being VERY rude.

Still i support the music.

I believe the rip offs have been broken up for a long time. the cd that is being released is they're 1992' LP.

I saw the Zodiac Killers at the Gilman awhile back and promptly bought their CD after the show. I have recently lost that CD. I am going to kill myself tomorrow.

Greg Lowery. He was sort of a dick to me once, too. I think he gets off on it. Actually, most of the South City trash rock crew that I've encountered have been assholes. But I have to give 'em credit...they make great records.

Larry Winther from the Mummies is cool. biggrin

Yeah, Greg Lowery is dick but I wasn't too worried about that since I giving him shit between songs. Recently, I saw the Zodiac Killers at the Parkside. Great show. They dedicated "Electtic Boyfriend" to me since I was making so much noise. puke biggrin puke biggrin puke biggrin puke biggrin puke biggrin puke

Wow, the Rip Offs were famous? I agree with Dan, MTX just wasted away without Jon Von.

Of course, the best garage band of all time was the Brentwoods. Okay, so they had one great song, but still.

When the Zodiac Killers came to Austin they got covered with huge bottles of this sick-ass yellow hand lotion. It was really disgusting. They had a feud going with some kids here, I think about the bootleg Supercharger reissues, something like that. Anyway, it was a fun show at a venue that's closed now.
