HOPEFUL

I'm lost

JUL 12, 2007 10:49 PM

Afriend of mine was asking me about a song that starts out with the lyrics:

Move your body, Shake that body
Move your body, Shake that body
Move your body, Shake that body
Move your body, Shake that body

.......proceeds to rap

I remember it but can't for the life of me think of who sang it and every time I google it all that comes up is Technotronic and Eiffel 65whatever I'm the type of person who will not rest unti I find out the answer so if you have and idea it would be greatly appreciated.biggrin

Yeah, Technotronic is the first thing that comes to mind. I'm pretty sure they did that song on the episode of SNL hosted by Fred Savage.

And this is yet another example of why having a photographic memory is not everything it's cracked-up to be.

That is kinda funnytongue Sadly I know the song you are talking about and this one is different - more up beat and "dancey" (thats the technical word by the way)wink The lady that sings the chorus sounds like Loleatta Holloway from Black Box (it could be her but when I googled her name it didnt come up)

No - sorry.....this one isn't it either.

We found an old dance recital that has the song on it but the sound quality wasn't that great. The rap part starts out (at least it sounds like)

Alright - forward, and move with a smooth pace
Start the track and begin the race......

I dunno - it seems to have vanished over the years I guess.

Your description of "sounds like Loleatta Holloway from Black Box" makes me think it's Martha Wash, which is why I thought of C+C Music Factory, but I can't find anything even remotely resembling the other lyrics you put up.

::edit:: I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE I HAVE THIS INFORMATION IN MY HEAD.
