Afriend of mine was asking me about a song that starts out with the lyrics:
Move your body, Shake that body
Move your body, Shake that body
Move your body, Shake that body
Move your body, Shake that body
.......proceeds to rap
I remember it but can't for the life of me think of who sang it and every time I google it all that comes up is Technotronic and Eiffel 65 I'm the type of person who will not rest unti I find out the answer so if you have and idea it would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, Technotronic is the first thing that comes to mind. I'm pretty sure they did that song on the episode of SNL hosted by Fred Savage.
And this is yet another example of why having a photographic memory is not everything it's cracked-up to be.
That is kinda funny Sadly I know the song you are talking about and this one is different - more up beat and "dancey" (thats the technical word by the way) The lady that sings the chorus sounds like Loleatta Holloway from Black Box (it could be her but when I googled her name it didnt come up)
that almost made me spit my drink out from laughing
Tis true it was funy - still doesn't answer my question on this stupid song DAMN FRIEND!!! She has me searching all over for somthing I am convinced was purely a ghost of a song - I don't think it exsists!
i keep checking in on this thread to see if anyone came up with the song. now i'm obsessed. is it possible to be obsessed with a song i'm pretty sure i've never heard??

yeah, tell her she's making life rough for a few more extra people as well!
God, I'm sitting here watching C+C Music Factory vids on YouTube.
That was one of my first thoughts too but I can't seem to find anything that matches
Your description of "sounds like Loleatta Holloway from Black Box" makes me think it's Martha Wash, which is why I thought of C+C Music Factory, but I can't find anything even remotely resembling the other lyrics you put up.
::edit:: I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE I HAVE THIS INFORMATION IN MY HEAD.
