This woman is amazing. The first song I ever heard was "Trouble" from Geek The Girl and I was instantly hooked. I immediately had a friend burn me a copy of the CD -- which still has yet to leave my stereo. I don't think I could get sick of that album.
today I found her 2003 release, Lullaby For Liguid Pig. I was afraid it wouldn't be as good as GTG, but I was definitely impressed. Didn't have the quirky-creepy feel and sound, but it's beautiful nonetheless.
Geek was the first album of hers I picked up, and it's still my favorite. The two others that I have tend to blend together in my mind, but Geek stands out for me, even though I guess it's pretty similar in tone and instrumentation to the others. I haven't heard the new one, but I read an interview with Germano on Salon.com a couple of months ago. She was talking about her bookstore job, I think, that pays her bills and about her tendency to drink too much. Not the typical interview with a "rock star" (maybe the booze, but not the low-wage retail gig, I mean...).
I like the song "...a psychopath" from geek the girl, it's erie and creepy.
Her new one is amazing, but my favorite is on the way down from the moon palace....
I remember her in john cougar mellencamp's videos!

hm... I just got her latest Liquid Pig and it took me a while
to get into it... Lets just say it's not what I expected when I read a review, but still pretty cool...
Has anybody ever seen her play live? I wonder what it's like - if it's a full band or just her, etc. I can see it being either absolute genius or a total bore, with no option in between.
