Two part question:

1. What album have you purchased in the past year that makes you cringe with shame? You know, that guilty little quirky pleasure album, more than likely pop or something........CONFESSION IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL......& we get to laugh at you biggrin

2. In ur entire music collection, what album are you most ashamed of/embarassed to own?

Me
1. Dirty Vegas......I'm a TV/Mitsubishi tool..........

2. Motley Crue - Girls, Girls, Girls shocked

1.) Hmmm.....for the first part of the question, I'm stumped...I haven't bought anything really embarassing in the last year. One that may cause me ridicule from you guys, though, is Tanya Donelly's solo album.

2.) In my entire music collection....the album I am most ashamed of is Ace of Base. I bought it back in '94, my senior yeah in high school. it was really popular then, and my then-girlfriend loved it. I just never threw it out.

1...the new Pink cd... which has a total of one song that I even listened to more than once, which I am sick of now bc the radio plays it about 300 times a day.

2...might have to agree with Ace of Base or else Real McCoy....both were in that era of kind of house sounding music that was actually just total crap with a pretty well marketed package called MTV says it's good.

How's the Tanya Donelly album??? I haven't heard anything new from her in forever. You recommend checking it out?

Oh, I have a CD by porn star Mimi Miyagi too! She gave it to me as a gift after I ran sond and lights for one of her shows. It's stunningly awful. She's singing jazz standards with awful synth backing tracks.

1- i would have to say Nickelback: Silver Side Up. BMG sent it to me and i forgot to send it back on time, so i'm stuck with it.

2-in my entire collection? i think i would have to say The Cardigans: Gran Tourismo. i like My Favorate Game, but the rest of the album sucks.

1. nelly furtado: whoa nelly! and I still like it, even though I won't admit that I own it to most people.

2. I had a whole bunch of 'em until I sold them back over half.com. I had some amazing blunders, which included: Nickelback's two albums, Godsmack's second album, and so on. Oh, and I still own Debbie Gibson's first album, out of the blue, on tape. Got it when it was cool, and I was in the 5th grade.

I don't purchase albums from anybody on major labels anymore. I will use the weapon of MP3 to destroy my evil corporate captors. I do however buy DIY and independant artists, but I'm not ashamed of any of those.

However, when it comes to MP3's, there are two things that I have in a hidden directory:

First are all the punk covers of power-pop songs (Backstreet Boys, Brittney). I mean, y'know, I dunno, I just like 'em. Shut up...

And then there's Andrew WK. Nothing makes me want to drink until I puke myself more than Andrew WK. Not that I like to admit it, though.

in my whole cd collection... probably the josie and the pussycats soundtrack.. but it doesn't stop it from kicking serious ass!!!!! i just take the most shit for owning it

Nothing that I have bought is shameful. However, my going away present from my old boss is getting many double takes: Gator Country- Molly Hatchet's Greatest Hits.

1.) Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare. I didn't care for Avenged Sevenfold's music before this came out, but Mike Portnoy, one of my favorite drummers, was on this album. I mainly bought it because I thought if Mike liked this group enough to drum with them, maybe I should give their music a second chance. Plus at the time it seemed like he was going to stay in the band full time, so I thought if I wanted to see Mike drum, I would have to see them. So I ended up buying the album. Now he is out of the band and I'm stuck with a horrible album. Mike's drumming is great, but great drumming can't save a horrible album.

2.) Kiss - Gene Simmons. What more can I say?
