I remember I picked up She on a lark a number of years ago and enjoyed it immensely. I'd thought that Williams was a minimalistic poet who worked well within the genre. It wasn't until later that I learned he was a slam! poet.

I keep waiting for his next book to come out, but it never does. Kinda like Corso, that.

seeing him live reading poetry, doing his rhymes acapella was awesome...he's so down to earth but, at the same time, completely transcending it...y'know that one song that's more d'n'b where it's like "in the name of, robeson, mumia etc.." he was doing that, no music, and at one point he just forgot the words and asked the audience who was next...and then he had question and answer time...he was so sweet even tho there were a lot of foolish questions asked...i love him

I love him, the movie slam was great, his cd was great and his books other wordly. I saw him when he did a tour of his poetry readings, and he is a very warm person in life. He is very intelligent and insightful See him on any level of performance.

If anybody has ever seen Scorcese's "Last Temptation of Christ" Saul Williams is playing the part of John the Baptist...of the Music World.

I was lucky enough to see him a couple years back on the Sno-Core Tour and after all the mind altering lyricism he admitted such a humble thought...even HE doesn't understand everything he's saying...made me feel, I don't know...more human?

I find it odd that not that many people know about him. He seems relatively mainstream.

I finally got round to picking up his eponymous album. I've only listened to it once, but it seemed to be pretty great. Unfortunately, I didn't hear a song on par with the beautiful Tao Of Now - the song that got me into him.

I saw Saul Williams do a couple of songs with NIN at Voodoo Fest back in October. One of the songs was "where my niggas at" or something like that, and Trent was doing the chorus. It's not everyday you hear Trent fucking Reznor singing "where my niggas at". Priceless.

It was the first time I saw Saul and I was impressed. The guy seems to be genuinely talented.
