Blixa Bargeld leaves the Bad Seeds

NOOOO!!!!

as any Nick Cave fan knows, Blixa was an integral (and founding) member of the Bad Seeds. (not to mention his day job as Einstuerzende Neubauten vocalist). I can't say i blame him, what with the boring schmaltz Nick has been pushing his past few albums, but it'll be hard to imagine the Bad Seeds without him, as well as his incredible stage presence. I'm just glad i got to witness his screams in 'Stagger Lee' in the flesh before he parted ways. fuck fuck fuck...

but as long as he continues to make music and play with EN...it's ok.

As long as Blixa is happy, I'm happy.

Bargeld seems really busy right now with Einsturzende Neubauten.

I especially like his comment on four of their earlier albums released by Some Bizarre which they plan on making available as downloads.

"We have never, to this day, seen any money from them. [We urge you, in case you find any of these records in a shop: please don't buy them. Steal them. We will try to make them available again soon; you will of course be informed.]"

wow I listened to the message. That guy has a rad voice. I've never even heard of that band before.

I'll be fucking crying into my beer, I can tell you that right now!! BooHoo .....I will try to recover by acquiring a few EN albums! To all my friends!

This has been coming for awhile, and perhaps might be why Warren Ellis was ushered into the Bad seeds. EN is down to only 3 core memebers, so I had anticipated this. I think we should get as many people as possible to contribute the 35 dollars for the EN cause....A memeber supported cd, the chance to watch the sessions, and give direct feedback...That is truly an amazing chance to be part of music history...

Blixa was incredibly amusing to watch on stage. he will be missed.
