If you could create a band... using any member of any band EVER... who would be in it and what would YOU (yes, you!) play in the band? what kinda music would they play?

Well, let me see now...
I'd have to have Lemmy from Motorhead on Bass, Kevin Shields from MBV with Hendrix on Guitar, Jonny Rotten and Freddie Mercury on vocals, DJ Shadow or David Holmes on decks (if thats your thing) and ME on Drums with John Bohnam as my roadie, hehehhe

niel halstead(mojave3&slowdive) would play guitar as well and sing.
so three guitarists
rachel goswell(mojave3&slowdive) would be the bass player and sing too.
um.........
martin gore(depeche mode) would take care of the synth stuff and sing too.
and
alan white(oasis) would be my drummer
and we'd be a total straight up fucking shoegazing band. love

which is why Led Zeppelin was so fucking great. Minus Flea dude, hes too funky for them. plus Jimmy Page was and is TERRIBLE live. Hendrix would be better for live shows, Page for the studio.

my band is fine with me, i'd just want DAVE FUCKING GROHL on Drums. and maybe Greg Ginn on Lead guitar.

Fuck James, I wanted Christopher Walken to sing in my band. frown
This is really hard, the easy thing would be, me as Sleater-Kinney's bass player...but here goes
Tanya Donelly(Throwing Muses) -guitar
Sarah Utter(Bangs)-guitar
Mary Timony(Helium)-piano and shit
Janet Weiss (SK&Quasi)-drums
Me-bass
Everyone sings but me because I sound like a cross between Kristin Hersh and Corin Tucker in the Heavens to Betsy days. wink
