Trent Reznor...

There is currently a 16 page Chester Bennington thread out there. I want to see if this thread will even come close! This is just a silly thread. It has no real point. There is no reason to get pissy about anything. Look if you want, post if you want, but please don't fight.

I've always felt that Mr. Reznor looks like an art student. No offense, he's brilliant in his own right...But he's boyish looking, and he just has that air about him that sreams "I'm an art student"...

What is wrong with that? He is boyish looking, that is what helps make him so dang cute.

Sometimes his lyrics make me cringe, but just listen to that music.

I mean it - listen to it, it's amazing.

Who care's if he does or does not look like an art student, or if that is or is not a bad thing? His music kicks all kinds of ass and if it wasn't for him opening doors in the early 90s, what came after him might never have been released. At the very least it wouldn't have been released in such uncensored form.

I used to think he was a real tool.... borowing studio tyme as a Ministry Engineer to make whatever that first smash album was called that I don't remember...

but in my mind, he redeemed himself by working w/ david bowie, using a uber cool HALO numbering system to his releases, letting off a baloon w/ a video camera on it that cops though was a film of a murder, having Russell Mills, one of the best graphic designers in the likes of Vaugn Oliver, Peter Saville, the brillaint designs for the Depeche Mode releases by Mat Cook/Rick Guest... aaaand

for putting out the Nothing label, which had the chuzpah to add bands like Autechre, Plaid, Squarepusher, Einsturzende Neubauten, Plug (Luke Vibert), & Meat Beat Manifesto....

but... i dont listen to his music. so i'm just this guy.

I don't know, I find the boyish thing disconcerting, especially at his age. It's that damn haircut, for one. Trent's best look was for "The Perfect Drug" video; he need the facial hair to look like a MANLY man. But maybe I'm just biased. Frankly, I don't even know why I'm involved in this discussion, but while we're at it, that "Evil Inside" t-shirt is just lame. I'd expect that kinda shit from Manson.

Oh, now I remembered. I'm involved in this discussion because Boo asked us to.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. That fucking video gave me an image to aspire to. And that's why I hate Trent.

Eh, the beard performs much the same function. But I'm afraid Trent does look boyish in that photo. He's just one of those guys that'll look boyish even when his hair grays. I have the same curse, which is why I wear a goddamn goatee.

I always hated that kissing picture....
