it doesn't get much better/sadder than this, folks.

ST. PETERS, Mo. (June 8) - A woman angry that her new puppy had died pushed her way into a dog breeder's home and repeatedly hit her on the head with the dead Chihuahua, authorities said.

The 33-year-old woman told police she had taken the puppy to a veterinarian, who said it was only 4 weeks old and needed to be returned to its mother. But before she could return the puppy, it died.

Early Wednesday, the woman went to the breeder's home, pushed her way inside and began fighting with the breeder as she tried to make her way to the basement to get another puppy, police said.

The breeder wrestled the woman out of her house to the front porch, where the woman then hit the breeder over the head numerous times with the dead puppy, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported, citing police.

As she pulled away, the woman waved the dead puppy out of the car's sunroof and yelled threats at the breeder, police said. She later called the breeder and threatened her and her family, according to court records.

Police said they are considering felony burglary charges against woman and misdemeanor assault charges.

I find this to be morbid, yet hilarious.

Ahem... Now that I have regained my composure, allow me to say that you should only ever buy animals from reputable breeders.

I thought it was sad and revolting until I read that the dog was a chihuahua, which for some reason made the whole thing funny.

i have to admit that i laughed a tiny bit when it got to the part where she waved the puppy out the window yelling threats.

BUT! i immediately felt bad about it, and then repented. so it's okay.

I love puppies, but I have to admit this is the best/worst thing I have ever read.
I'm still laughing so hard about it that I'm crying.
So... many... emotions.

My two bits:
Both parties are fucking assholes. The breeder for letting a 4 week old puppy go (basement breeders tend to be fucking meth heads anyway) and the woman for buying a month-old puppy. I mean, sometimes I don't have a hell of a lot of common sense, but if I bought a miniscule puppy out of a basement, I'd sure as hell tote it to the vet the same day, just to make sure everything was hunky-dory.
But...I bet it was soooooooooo much cuter than those big ugly gangly 6 week-old beasts. surreal whatever

I just keep picturing it like a ren and stimpy episode. I must admit that the mental image of a dead bugeyed infant puppy slapped upside some methhead's head is just raunchy. can't shake it. skull

It seems like we get a post about someone doing something amazingly inhumane at least every two weeks or so. For the sake of organization and perspective, maybe someone could make a group where we can get together and droop over stories like this. You could name it "Tragedy Ghouls", and sticky a top-ten list to the top of the board.
