I have always believed in ghosts but have recently had several small things happen to me that make me think more about it. Recently I found out that one of my family members has always "seen ghosts" and many times the things she see's mach up with real facts when researched. I also lived with someone who has the habit of always mentioning when they think they see a ghost. When she describes the location of the ghost more often then not I had also seen something. At first it was mostly like a flash in the same location that she described the ghost. some times I would get a strange feeling right before she would say she saw some thing. As time went on I paid more attention and now I can finish her description of the ghost. Mind you I have never seen more than brief flashes of light out of the corner of my eye and she rarely see's more than that. I’ve started to ask people I know we'll and trust not to lye to me if they have ever had anything supper natural happen to them. I'm surprised how many people I ask do have some story. I'm wondering has anyone personally seen something that makes them believe in ghost.

have had the joy of demonic issues through a large portion of my life. infestation & oppression. that's mine.

that means, the mental attacks on me & others, things moving, freaky, terrifying, and very upsetting things. not pleasant. started when i was around 4 (my earliest memory of it) but may have started earlier based on comments by family (though they didn't realize what it was until i was grown & dealing with the worst of it).

not pleasant.

known others who have had ghost & other supernatural activities in there life -the region i grew up in has a lot of problems with it & is actually famous for it.

but not ghosts specifically for me.

I wish I could have some kind of supernatural experience. I spent one lonely Halloween night exploring an old abandoned factory, I've spent nights sleeping alone in an abandoned house that was supposedly haunted, I walk through the woods alone at night, I've hung out in old barns in the middle of nowhere and been through all sorts of other prime haunting opportunities. The scariest thing I've seen was a huge pile of used syringes on the floor of an old office in the factory. So if ghosts and spirits do exist, they avoid me like the plague.

I've found that the only thing to be afraid of is other people. Now I mostly just spend my time trying to scare everyone else.

ghost/haunting related things are all I have experienced. and its not something I could really explain in detail. All I know is there is definately a lot going on in this world that most people probably have no clue about.

the area i grew up in was really known for spiritual happenings too.
i lived in a house where you could actually feel the presence of something. every time we went into the basement people got violently ill. you could be anywhere in the houe and suddenly feel cold. even if it was 110 degrees outside. the house just felt sad. i think the best thing though, was coming home to find all the doors open, despite having been locked, dead bolted, all the windows opened, despite having been nailed shut by previous owners. One day the dog was trapped in a window, the window had fallen on her paw, despite the fact that the window had been held up with two bricks. something really tried to kill the dog. she had seizures too. after we moved out, the dog never had seizures again. we also found out that when the house was built, the man killed his family in the basement.
maybe it was them.

i feel more than i see.
somethings you just can't deny or blame on coincidence.
i see lights and flashes all the time.
one night at work, after we closed, cleaned up, counted out the draws. we had just turned the lights off and two of us saw someone walk behind the counter.
there were only 4 of us in the store, and we were all standing by the door waiting for the alarm to set.
i guess you really had to be there.

I think I've replied to a similar thread before, but hey, it's fun to type it all out again.

I was in bed one night when I heard the gate open and something walk across the gravel in the path. I saw a shadow fall across my desk and was sure as fuck something was there... the shadow moved but somehow the sound disappeared. I didn't sleep that night because I was watching the shadow the entire night.

Once I was home and I heard my sister practicing Shostakovich's String Quartet #8 on cello upstairs. She messed up roughly around the same measure and didn't seem to be getting much better, but I let it be. I go upstairs to get a drink and all of a sudden my sister shows up with my parents at the door carrying groceries. They were gone for about 2 hours. Somebody was playing cello like my sister when she wasn't there.

Yeah, I chose to disinvolve myself with things that don't fit within the social confines of normal (as in, NOT paranormal). I'd rather close my eyes and be sane.

I'm not even sure if I know what that means, but apathy is always a good approach to take.

this was in the early seventies right after helter skelter. the manson family had been caught and tried. there was a lot of interest in not only paganism but also the black arts. the exorcist had came out and the horror genre of film and novels was really beginning to take off.

my mother became enthralled with the paranormal. i remember going with her and her best friend to a house in LA where they told me there were witches. sure enough there were hooded witches and warlocks with twisted daggers. we watched a ceremony performed in the dining room around a lit tree of candles. i wanted to go down the long hall of the house that led to the added-on temple at the end. they wouldn't let anyone down that hall. that always intrigued me.

years later after we moved to oregon she began holding seances. at first they were the legit kind. and everyone thought it was kind of cool. but nothing much ever really happened.

so she started setting up things to freak her friends out. she used to attach strings between my foot and a lamp or something. i would knock over the objects at the appropriate time. i was a good little actor. she also used to write things on fogged or dirty windows or behind things on the wall and reveal them when she had finally coerced the conversation in the direction of the subject she had staged.

it really used to freak people out. and my father used to be very scared of the whole thing because he was very catholic and thought that my mother was really messing with things she shouldn't be.

he might have been right because weird things started to happen in our apartment. things that my mother hadn't staged and things that were really scaring her and especially me.

once i had been clawed by something during a seance, the lights were out except candles and i was laying on the couch watching from a distance. i remember everyone screaming at one point and suddenly feeling a scratch on my ankle. they were perfect claw marks like that of a cat. i cried my eyes out that night and the seance ended right after that because everyone was so freaked out. we didn't have any pets.

there were other things like furniture being moved, things missing, pictures falling, noises, etc. my mother stopped doing the seances and confided in one of her friends that she had been faking a lot of the seances but also that things were starting to get out of control.

her friend got pissed, felt betrayed. so she told everyone. they staged their own gag on my family. while my mother and father took me out to trick or treat on halloween they broke into our house. they created a monster out of clothing, a wig, a broomstick and some of my toys from the toybox. they set it up in my parents room. then they removed the light bulb in their room and the one in the hall.

when we got home i was tucked into bed and my father went to the bathroom for his nightly grooming before bed. my mother picked up the house a bit and then went off to bed. but as soon as she reached her room she saw the monster. all she could see was the shadow and outline of it from the parking lot lights shining in through the drapes behind it. she screamed, she screamed at it, yelled at it. tried to turn the light on. the thing didn't move. it stood there dead still. as if it were waiting to pounce on her.

she backed into the hall and to the bathroom to retrieve my father but he and I were already behind her looking on in terror. my father backed down the hall did the sign of the cross and led us out into the front of the apartment. he went back in and eventually figured it out.

but it never really cured my mother. she still strongly identified with everythig paranormal. my relatives blame weird occurences on her whenever something strange happens. she passed away in 1999. she always promised my aunt that if there was an afterlife she would try and contact her. lots of unexplainable things have happened to my aunt and my cousins.

and last but not least for about 6 years in the nineties i had some odd unexplainable things happening to me. i was told by a number of people that i was being visited by a succubus. i'm not sure if that explains ir but it stopped happening after my mother passed away.

I identify myself as a Paladin if asked, and in acordance with rooting out the lies of paganism and burning it's practicioners to cleanse thew orld of the darkness of satan, I don't beleive in any of it for professional reasons.

However, I do have a sense of animism that places special properties in things i own, I have talked to a tree, and i've had energy transfered at me against my will. So I dunno.

Note: I'm sitting here with a bare bladed cutlass on my lap because these kinds of discussions freak me out.

I've seen three ghosts-and lived in a haunted hause. I thought it was haunted anyway. The strangest shit would happen in the basement there, and it was quite uncomfortable.

Do I have proof, ofcourse not.

ive seen a ghost once. i wasn't freaked out at the time, cause i figured i was just imagining it or dreaming or whatever. but the next day when i was joking about seeing a ghost, the people who lived there described exactly what the ghost looks like, before i even mentioned anything about what the ghost looked like.

freaky.

bizarre things have always happened to me, especially when my hardcore wiccan friend stu and i would go on "weird NJ" tours. but spirit-y things have really come close to home since my daugher was born. she'll be taking a nap in her crib while i'm on the computer or doing housework or whatever and i'll catch something out of the corner of my eye that looks like someone standing over her crib. or she'll start cooing or whatever and i swear i hear a female voice. and we pick up someone singing on the baby monitor all the time. all of this happens while it's just me and the baby home by ourselves. sometimes i think she sees something i don't.

it's bizarre, i think i know who it is. my fiance was dating a girl who died in a car accident. he was real depressed for a long time, they were all in love and stuff. anyway, we named our daughter after her, and we keep a picture of her in our hallway. it's like she's just checking in on the little one... it's comforting.

When I was 12 my father died in an auto accident. I was home asleep at the time and I awoke to see him standing over the bed. We had got into an argument earlier that day. He hugged me and said he was sorry and was gone. About an hour later I was woken up again, this time by his roomate who informed me of the accident and that my father was dead.

In a city not far from me there is an elementery school. young boy was struck by a car in front and was taken to the nurse's office where he bled to death. Now the spirit of the child knocks on the office wall in answer to questions. Once for yes and twice for no. There is a window that looks into the room and you can see the inside of the wall where the knocks are coming from. He also likes to play on the chainlink fence on the opposite side of the building. The energy at the location has a tendency to make one feel depressed when there for long periods of time. The spirit is playful, switching off lights next to you, etc.

I was friends with 2 sisters. Before I met them they had a tendency to play with the ouija board and apparently invited a male and a female spirit into their home. A brief walk through the house with dowsing rods showed a lot of energy coming from the back bedroom, which as I later found out was the room they conducted their ouija sessions. The room is near the back yard and the dog avoided that section and would whimper when forced to go there. Nothing really unusual happened so as I was calling it quits and in the bathroom, I heard a distinct female voice come from the shower and say "Hello". Both of my friends were in the adjoining room and no one else was in the house.

Ghost hunting is a hobby of mine, there have been many more investigations that have turned up nothing. Those have been my only experiences thus far.

i dont really know if i ever saw anything myself but i know that my mum and my aunt would see certain things. they couldnt read anyones future or anything like that but a week beofre my mums cousin killed herself we were sat watching tv. i was lay down on the love seat and she was sat on the floor, we were chatting and then just gasped and i shit myself, lol. she said that she saw her borther sat on the stairs. john, my mums brother died when he was 17, he was hit by a drunk cop who needless to say never got charged even though he also killed 3 other lads under 21. anyway...and before john died she said that she woke up in the old house where we used to live coz she thought she heard my dad come in from work. he used to work the late shift at at the casino and he would be home around 4 am...anyway when he got home he would open the bedroom door to check on her and usually give her a kiss on her head. she said that i was in bed with her and she heard someone walk up the stairs and open the door, when she looked up the door was closed and my dad wasnt home. my mums friend (marion) who i miss like mad was a meduim, she told us that they try and give yot little signs just beofe someone else goes. i dont know ifs it just nothing or maybe it was something ?
i have no idea but i aloways believed marion, she said that out house was full of love and protective spirits and we would never get any unwelcomed guests. sometimes in my mums house you can hear a few different noises and when i got home sometimes i can still get a quick smell of flowers, it only lasts a few seconds. it doesnt scare me anymore i find it lovely and it reminds me of marion. anyone that is intrested in ghosts should go to my mums in england for a night, dont expect anything freaky though, there is no bad energy just good wink

I suppose i actually am going looking for ghosts tonight. Kind of hard where i live, all the land here is new, it's only been here since an earthquake moved it here fifty years ago, so not much buildup of spirits and whatnot.

I have so me wierd beliefs. I believe that prop weapons, bokken, and toy guns will affect or kill undead or spirts because although the wepaons aren't real, neither are the monsters. I believe in Chi as a method of doing things not physically possible or likely, hmm. this is a topic I don't want to talk about because my business mind htinks i'm insane, but my personal mind wants to know more.
