If you're looking to get into SGLA (or SGLBC or SGOC) here's some events you might want to consider attending. It's so we can meet you and know that you're not a creepy lurker and you can meet us and know that we're awesome in our own special way.
so post here and let us know if you're coming out so we can try to meet you.
and people who are already members in the groups can post here so the new members know who to look for.
please remember that if you're going out to meet new people at dinner, bring money to pay. i know it sounds obvious but we've had problems before and we WILL take your thumbs.
Also, if you come out, try to find one of us and say hi. Simply being in the same place as us doesn't count as "meeting" us, and you're going to have to make that effort if you want to get into the group. Also, upload a photo so we know what you look like when you RSVP to the events, and start a journal so we can leave comments telling you how awesome it was to meet you.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
EVERY SATURDAY!
We've kidnapped your dance club and given it a tattoo! SuicideGirls brings you another night of live dancing, 2 bars, and a kick-ass mix of electro, indie, and 80's music, with DJ Amanda Jones and DJ Robert Lockerby. 21+
Now weekly, every single Saturday you're likely to see at least a few (often more than a few) of us at Club Suicide @ The Dragonfly, on Santa Monica Blvd.
See the site for more details, and look for an event posted in this thread or on the local page to add yourself to the watch list and see who else is planning on coming.
What's that? You can't possibly make it? Fear not! You just have to put a little more effort into it, so we know you mean it. Check out SGOC and SGLBC and see if they have any events coming up, and make friends with those kids, then just get one of them to vouch for how fucking awesome you are and we'll let you into SGLA.
Can't make it to OC? Well, you're not entirely screwed, but you're probably going to be waiting for awhile. Sometimes we have open events that aren't regular things. Keep an eye on this thread. If there are any open events, they'll be here.
For the Sunset Junction event, it's looking like we'll probably meet up at the Vermont/Sunset Red Line station at 7:15 and walk from there. Parking is going to be a nightmare anywhere around there anyhow, and a bunch of people are probably going to be taking public transit, so it looks like that's the spot. Here's a map of how to get from the Red Line station to the stage. Yes, we'll be walking. No, it's really not that far; just a little over a half mile. If anyone wants to go see Eagles of Death Metal (who will be playing when we meet up), you can try to find us after their set is over or you can leave their set a little early to come meet up...it's entirely up to you.
Daniel and I are not missing EAGLES OF DEATH METAL for ANYTHING. So we'll meet up with you guys afterward. Do you have a cell phone?! Can we call you when we want to meet up? Maybe after the EOD set.
We want to see you there though. We miss Bean and Shalome. So I'm-a gonna cross my fingers and hope that we can meet up or we'll bump in to you at the SG Burlesque show er something.
Daniel has my number, just have him message me because I'm sure the odds of being able to carry on a phone conversation in the middle of it are slim to none.
In fact, if anyone who's planning on meeting us up there wants my number in case there's some trouble finding each other (which I expect there will be in that chaos), drop me an e-mail.
come for the Girls... stay for the Dolls... I am so there... doubt any of you folks will recognize me as I've been a lame-o about making it to events, but I'll be the guy covered in chocolate & spazzing out to "Personality Crisis"...

I will definitely make it...I look forward to meeting new friends.......
I'll be there. Don't know if I'll meet up at Vermont/Sunset Red Line station at 7:15, but I'll be on the look-out for peeps. If you see me, grab me for a drink and say hi. El Cid ususally has room (cuz the streets and bars get way crowded). El Cid is also good for meeting people out front, cuz it's lit up well against that front wall door area.
4100 bar, I love it, and usually end up there for some drinks at some point, (even though it gets way crowede), But anyways, I'll be on the look-out for my SG peeps. If you have my cell #, you can always text me your location. Rock on!
This is a benefit show for the brother of one of the guys in Imperative Reaction, who was brutally attacked on the metro earlier this year. All of the proceeds from the show will be split between a fund to cover his extensive medical bills and the National Center for Victims of Crime.
Live Performances by:

Hellraver (NYC/Albion/Terrorfakt)
Rev.John (LA/Das Bunker)

Anyone who lives in LA, likes industrial or punk or anything weird and noisy and electronic, and hasn't seen Babyland is truly leading an incomplete life. Come out, support a good cause, and join me and Shalome at this show.
Come out and get a drink with us at our favorite punk rock dive bar. Great jukebox, cheap drinks, pool, air hockey, awesome bartenders, not at all crowded...what more could you want?
I’m a creepy lurker who is in the group. However, in hopes of elevating my status to simply “frightening” lurker, I’m planning on dropping by Fern’s as I’m in town. (Er, mind you, I don’t actually know anyone in SGLA or SGLBC…so…Hi!)

Holy smokes, looks like I'm actually going to be able to make one of these.
I'll be dropping by Fern's tonight. I guess I'll dress conspicously so I can be recognized - purple camoflage pants, black pirate bandana and my 'fuck me like you hate me' t-shirt.
Yo. I'm in SGLA, but I don't know many members. Come say hey if you recognize me & I'll do the same. I'll be with a silly mexican that will probably make silly mexican faces at anyone that attempts to conversate with me, but don't let him scare you. The best way to approach me is by sliding up next to me and saying "hey baby why don't you ditch this loser and we'll go somewhere more private." Yeah. Do that. It'll be funny.

Unless it's not really you, in which case we'll be arrested.

I'll be at Sunset Junction early. Hopefully somebody has my number. I'll email bean, just in case.
derekTheRed, queenmab, and myself, will be there on Sunday. neither Derek nor I have a cell phone, and queenmabs doesn't do the whole text thingy, so just look for a giant white dude with really light blonde hair and a couple chunky chicks, I'll be wearing my SG t-shirt.

WHEN: Thursday Nov 17 @ 9:00 pm WHERE: White Horse
Thursday the 17th marks the first night of our new monthly open drinks at White Horse. For those of you not familiar with White Horse, it's a uniquely awesome place. Check out the Citysearch profile (linked from the event page), it's pretty spot on, only they forgot to mention that the place is huge and comfortable. It's less like "walking into your neighborhood bar" and more like, as Shalome put it, "sitting around our house drinking with our friends, only with a good bar and a pool table in the middle."
Parking should be easy to find on Western right in front of the bar.
