Just a quick question... I live way too far away to make a really good contribution to SGNY, but I'm most likely gonna be in NYC that weekend. Would it be kosher if I showed up just to hang out and meet the people? I've got a couple of people on the site who can vouch for my "non-creepyness" I suppose... It'd just be nice to meet some other fellow SG members.

I dont think I will be there. I am working on a film for 3 weeks and we shoot from 8-8 every single day besides wendsday. I get home round 11... then we got to go by 5 am to Jersey to head to set. No parties for me till after the 23rd of August... Fuckin.... A.

I live in newburgh ny which is about an hour upstate...I also know I'm out of reach of your distance of nyc to be in sgny......But just to let you know I have worked in nyc for 7 years and know my way around town.......There are a bunch of bars I can go to throw the bartender a 20 and drink like a fiend all night...but besides that I love tattoo's , I love meeting new and cool people and would love to come to the party you are throwing granted you invite me. if so the first three drinks are on me

i would really like it if you did, actually. as dorky as it seems, we have done it a few times at our earlier parties and it really helped. especially when it came time to look at the pictures the next day (there are always pictures) it was a little easier to put sg names/real names and faces together. it helps you to get to know people and that's really the point of this event. it seems these days people have a 'too cool' attidude about things like name tags, but really what sgny needs is people who don't have that sort of attitude. so yea, if you want to wear a nametag or bring a box of them to share, that would be super. if you're too cool for it, stay home.

and to answer some of the other questions:

the first 2 questions are clearly rhetorical, so i will just skip over them. :eyeroll:
