For those of you who haven't heard, AnnaLee proposed an awesome idea to add a bit of flavor to the Member Review System. Per her blog:
I recently made a proposal to Sean to see if SuicideGirls might be interested in experimenting with how we choose the set of the day. I asked if he would be interested in nominating a photographer, a long standing model or an old school member once a month and asking them to make a 4 day selection from the sets in member review. To trial this I have been given the opportunity to choose the front page sets from Thursday the 5th until Sunday the 8th of May.
I love the idea that the front page could be like an art gallery of beautiful photographs and that members and contributors to the site could curate special combination of sets. At the moment staff use comment counts and percentage ratings to purchase sets but I think this diminishes the diversity we see on the front page. Allowing a different person to show what they think deserves to be set of the day will bring variety and freshness and I hope it might give active community members and models a new enthusiasm for the member review process.
I hope you all enjoy the four sets I have picked, don't forget to comment on them and let the models and photographers know what you think. If you like the idea and would like to see it continuing with other curators then please post your opinions on here. I'm really excited about this idea and hope it can continue running. I'll write a bit more about why I chose all the sets once they're all up and try to collate what everyone thought of the whole thing.
So I thought it would be fun to see what sets everyone would choose if they had the opportunity to choose only 4 Sets Of The Day and how you would go about choosing.
Reason for my choices:
I think that everyday Front Page should show a slightly different side of SG than the day before. The range of girls and sets are so vast, I figure we should see it.
My first choice of HannaLisa's set I think shows the ever colorful, creative and bright side of SG which is a common theme that many girls express. It's cute, fun and silly.
My next choice would be Noidd's set because it has the dark and eerie elements that oppose my first choice. It is shot remarkably, and also expresses a lot of creativity. It also caters to the darker/edgier side of SG.
Up next I'd say Hunter's set because it is a more intimate and sultry set, yet it's natural. It's dreamy and simple, yet alluring, all elements that we love.
Last, I'd chose a hopeful. Marceau's set expresses a good sense of personality and adds diversity to the front page.
My four choices reside in the fact that to me, those sets showcase their personalities and their sensibilities at its best and well... personally that´s what this is all about.
This thread is dangerously close to duplicating this thread and this one. There seem to be a lot of threads harping on this subject at the moment so I might do a bit of cleaning to keep things focused.

I'm ignoring Hopefuls here because that makes it 10 times as hard. So these two are my absolute favourites, they're fun, they show off the girl's personality, the photography is above par, the concepts are cute and quirky. There's zero reason for them not to be on the front page.
As for another two, I had a hard time narrowing it down from 4, but in the end these two win out. BetteJean's because I think she's the cutest, and self shooting is HARD, so i'm amazed that she makes it look so easy. That's talent.
Coz personaly I love dark sets.
And this "dark set" was shooted by talanted photographer and amazing model, has interesting theme and has everything that a FP set should have.
I wish there were more sets like this one featured as a set of the day.
This lady is amazing and creativ. Also I like to see other SG's all together helping each other with sets. Isn't it SG spirit is about?
I want to see on FP girls of different ages and types and I wish everybody would look that good as Stellae in 37
I think everybody on the site should now this women, coz it's seems she is one of the most active members here and she's everywhere
Every her set has 700+ comments, but only 2 bought sets in 5 years? ( hmm as I remember she sent 9 or so ).
Hey,people love her! And I'm sure many of us would love to see her smiling face on FP again.
And yeah, personality, she has that in every set.
As I said before SG claims to love different kinds of beauty. So here you go, amazing woman wich if you'll see her first time you would 100% remember, coz she looks completly different. And she's stunning. And I love her blogs
Thats all what I wanted to say.
I will be very happy if any of this sets would be bought.
Six Six Six by Doctor.
I haven't seen another set like it! It's my favorite set in MR right now. It's the perfect combination of sexy, beautiful, different, hot, and just great work photographically and modeling-wise. Besides...it's Doctor. To me, she's one of the most unique models on the site. What's not to love?
Minette by Suri.
Other than the fact that Suri is just a wonderful model and the set has a cute, playful yet sexy theme to it, the set just draws me in more and more each time. Suri looks amazing, the photography is beautiful, and overall the set just belongs on the front page.
Dark Side by Prussia.
Sexy, a bit dark, fun, kinky, AND the photography is great. Not to mention the fact that Prussia is an incredible model! It's been almost two years in MR which just makes me go
Great Expectations by Laurelin.
Soft, sweet, sexy model, paired with an awesome staff photographer! Laurelin also went above and beyond in Peep Show but I love the subtle sexiness of Great Expectations more. The variety of shots leave you wanting more and more yet you still feel satisfied at the end of the set. It's great!
Royal - Velveteen
photos by Alissa
I love what Alissa's done with the reflections, the scene outside the window, and the light. And of course Royal is beautiful and interesting.
Shanti - Diamond Fox
Photos by Zoetica
The light and color palette play up Shanti's skin, eyes, and hair perfectly.
Ala - 0:00
Photos by Cherry
I love how bright and sunny the color palette is inside, while outdoors you can see it's nighttime and it almost looks cold out there. I think Cherry captured a brightness and joy that seems to be inherent in Ala.
hard to choose but- this would be my 4 (I tried to imagine that everyone else had their choices go live or else I would have put pretty much the same picks as above- such amazing picks. So far I would have to agree with each and every set already in this thread and the reasons why.)
When I think of SG and what it means to me, I think of the community and the way you see models and photography evolve. Morrigan has been a fav of mine forever, she is a sweet and funny girl. She has for me been a major part of this site- anyone who has been a hopeful from pre-MR will certainly remember how encouraging and supportive she was and still is. She has evolved and grown with each set and her poses in this set as well as the soft delicate theme make me swoon. I also am a huge fan of Nemesis as a model and as a photographer she has been a huge impact to this site. This set shows how she can truly capture a feeling of whimsical sultry soft atmosphere and still show case the model.
I love theme sets. I also love anything that really showcases a girls personality- her charm. I feel like Tragique is one of those girls who has been able to give and get so much from this site, she is a huge part of the SGUK community and has also really grown as a model on this site. Besides, honestly I am a sucker for a geeky girl in glasses looking for mythical creatures. I appreciate the effort that went into the set too- it was shot at Loch Ness in the cold-people who have been to Scotland know why this is a pretty amazing thing to happen. Lavezzaro really helps to create a set that makes the viewer smile and cements the idea that a photographer and model will go to any lengths to shoot an amazing set- this set could have been at any lake it could have been in a bath tub but it's at Loch Ness and the effort makes the difference.
This set is just so effortlessly sexy. I find intelligence and confidence to be something that draws me to a model, Fatality has never let me down. Again she really does simply express SG as a constant member of the community. Her journals are like poetry. Her sets are art work. She is able to have fun, goof off and be the girl in the photograph but she will always remind you that she has hidden stories and secret smiles. I love this set because it also show cases how far SG has come. The photography by Zoetica is so subtle and yet so sharp that it looks like it could hold up in any magazine.
There is nothing cooler than a Goth in the sunshine- and there is nobody as cool as Nixon. This set is one of those sets that makes me want to shoot for this site. One of the girls that got me into the site and still gets me into this site with every set she shoots, I feel like this set really does showcase what an outstanding model she is and Fractal's photography creates an intimacy with the viewer. Nixon continues to be one of the models on this site that inspires people to want to model, want to be creative and want to be different.
p.s forgive me for saying this and for being a complete creep but, she has just the most beautiful boobs I have ever seen.
