Black Hawk, a town of 178 people, voted this man into office unanimously.
"We don't think it detracts from his ability to be mayor, and will probably, in the long run, make him a better human being," said Black Hawk spokesman Chuck Ford. "We're all fallible. We come from a very tight knit small community in Black Hawk. We're probably a little more willing than the average listener in Denver to forgive and give people a second chance."
I think the voters were just scared of what he'd do to them if he lost, I mean, if a man is capable of pistolwhipping his wife think of what he'd be willing to do to a stranger!

It's a small enough town for everyone to know each other, literally. Maybe they all thought she had it coming.
