Mick Jagger threw down 3,600 pounds a night to stay at the luxury Royal Suite at the five-star Imperial Hotel in Vienna, Austria during a June stop on the Rolling Stones tour. Apparently, itÂ’s a pretty nice flop house.
The classically-designed suite is said to be among the top 100 hotel rooms in the world. It boasts a 7ft 4in bed, chandeliers and oil paintings.
Former presidents Ronald Reagan, John Kennedy and George Bush, senior all stayed there while they were in office.
Then WÂ’s staff called. Seems the current President Bush is going to be in town for a summit at the same time and he wants those rooms.
Mick put his foot down and insisted he was keeping the booking.
A source close to the millionaire singer said last night: “White House officials had wanted to reserve the suite and all the other rooms on the first floor.”
“Bush’s people seemed to be under the impression that they would just hand over the suites but there was no way Mick was going to do that.”
Turns out Mick is not a big fan of Bush. Something to do with some war.
Bush has apparently made accommodations somewhere else.
i betcha Bill Gates woulda gotten that room from Mick! (seeing as how the Chinese president visited gates before he met with GW and all, it's safe to assume that gates has more power than bush right now, which is scary becuase I wouldn't care if billy boy stopped making crappy OS's, actually, I'd be pretty damn happy)

Maybe not. If I were a hotel operator, the last thing I would do is bump famous people out of their rooms because of some other famous person. That's how you get a reputation.
Never to old to Rock and Roll, but some are too stupid to rule. Mick Rulz!!!! We're paying for W's room and I for one say let him sleep on the street with the gutter punks, unless of course they have reservations...then they should get the cardboard box before W, which is the way he wants it for all of us....

Did you get your account yesterday or something? Did you never read the newswire until today?

I'm reading this on the current events board.
Right. I loved your "cia leaker contributed to Kerry!!!!one!eleven!!!1 OMG!" thread the other day, by the way.
THAT'S CURRENT EVENTS!!!!
Bad example Oyaji - you should have picked my United 93 post.
Very funny. So like Bush, to just assume that everybody will go along with whatever it is he says. And like Mick, too, to hold his ground. I wonder if Mick would have caved if he were a US citizen. (I woulda, in his shoes. I'm scared of this administration.)
