State Legislators are going crazy. First it was Illinois, then California and now Vermont has introduced a bill to impeach President Bush.

Illinois State Rep. Karen Yarbrough has sponsored a resolution calling for the State Legislature to submit charges to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Then California jumped in the fray. California State Assemblyman Paul Koretz, not to be outdone, has submitted amendments calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush AND Vice President Richard Cheney. I see your Bush and raise you a Cheney.

Today, Vermont jumped on the bandwagon. Rep. Dave Zuckerman, along with 12 fellow lawmakers, introduced a formal resolution for the Vermont state legislature to call on the U.S. House of Representatives to impeach President George W. Bush.

Then the HAMMER came down. That’s right, motherfuckers, Berkeley got all up in this bitch.

In a resolution that will be sent to U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., the Berkeley council accused the president and vice president of, among other things: defrauding the country and Congress regarding the Iraq war; authorizing torture in violation of the Geneva Conventions; ordering secret surveillance of U.S. citizens; and failing to quickly respond to the Gulf Coast hurricane.

Man, this is exciting! So, how would it work? Not at all.

If the resolutions pass their respective General Assemblies, they would go to the U.S. House, where it likely would be referred to the republican controlled Judiciary Committee. Once there, it would be drowned like an unwanted kitten.

"It's up to that committee to decide what action it will take, if any," committee spokesman Jon Brandt said. "(The resolution) does not, in and of itself, start a process."

Washington Republicans have their own interpretation.

"This is absolutely ridiculous," said John McGovern, a spokesman for U.S. House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.).

It's totally ridiculous, man.

Almost as ridiculous as . . . impeaching someone for getting head . . . for example. Theoretically, if someone were to do that, it would likely be fairly ridiculous.

Oh . . . Really? Someone did? I see . . . Hmm.

they should petition Bush to get a blowjob. I think he's the most in need of one. Clinton was getting head, not invading anyone.

Really the only place to send Bush is Iraq. He’ll be greeted as a liberator for sure, rose petals in the streets the whole shebang.
