Well, I thought the point was that the only difference is chain of command. Lets face it, when you've got shock troops outfitted head to toe in military gear, and they're all trained former special forces, the difference gets more than a tiny bit semantic.

That's generally what SWAT units are comprised of.
Of the three guys I know on tactical squads none are former special forces, unless you count Coast Guard rescue divers as special forces. While some may be saying and they're all trained former special forces is just wrong.
Because, of course your own experience is dispositive, especially with you being a major part of the the military and police community not just some random computer guy with a hardon for power.
I spent the evening with three trauma nurses from one of the best trauma hospitals in the country; doesn't mean I'm ready to intubate anyone.
