OC gang rape verdicts in

Good News from the San Diego Union Tribune:

"SANTA ANA – Three young men, including the son of a former law enforcement official, were convicted Wednesday of sexually assaulting an unconscious teenage girl with a pool cue, juice bottle and cigarette as they filmed themselves on videotape.

The jury returned convictions on a total of 15 felony counts among the three defendants, acquitted them of seven counts and did not reach a verdict on five others in the high-profile case.

Greg Haidl, 19, the son of a wealthy former assistant sheriff, was convicted of six counts of sexual assault. Keith Spann, 20, was convicted of five counts and the jury found Kyle Nachreiner, 20, guilty of four counts.

All three were acquitted of assault with a deadly weapon, the pool cue."

You remember that these were the guys that the jury couldn't convict last year even though there was a VIDEOTAPE OF THEM COMMITTING THE CRIME!

i was wondering about it i read about it a long time ago and those guys were just retarded. i knew they would go down for it.

I don't actively wish harm on them... but should their assholes be horribly violated I won't exactly shed a tear.

Truly. That someone could inflict so much suffering on another person and expect to get away with it is monstrous.

WTF is this "They could also get probation" instead of jail time ?
I hope they get the maximum jail time allowed under the law.

I'm glad they were convicted and will pay for what they did as good as we can make them...but I can't pretend it gives me any kind of joy. They still irreparably damaged a life. I'd sooner let them walk if they could just give back what they stole from that girl. Since that's not possible...I'll have to pretend that it gives me some sense of satisfaction that they're behind bars...and maybe tasting a little jailhouse justice.

Bah. It makes me wonder how much DNA I share with some, er, people.

my guess is short prison sentences - less than 3 years. Maybe even no jail - just lengthy probation. After all, it isn't as though white people will riot and burn down the gas stations in their neighborhoods. Don't be shocked if thats what goes down.

I just hope they have to be registered as sex offenders. That will publically follow their asses around for quite a while.
