You know why this is a bad idea?

If you're a sane, sober robber, you ARE going to be a little freaked out by the shiny clicking thing suddenly popping out of nowhere.
If you're NOT sane, or NOT sober, it won't even make you twitch.
It will eventually weed out the sane, sober (and maybe a little stupid) robbers, and then the only ones we'll have to worry about will be either the insane, the incredibly high, and the intelligent.

I'm not willing to take that risk, people!
