I don't care about the 347 yards passing (mostly attributable to yards after the catch by a group of talented receivers and Philly's total inability to run the ball), but the three INTs, countless poorly thrown balls to wide open receivers, numerous mental errors, inabiltiy to avoid taking sacks instead of getting rid of the ball and horrible clock management at the end of the game, surely all cost the Eagles the chance to win the game. If Brady and McNabb switched teams, the Eagles would have won that game by two touchdowns. Maybe Rush Limbaugh was right, after all.

I am not at all pleased with his performance, and Reid's shit play calling . That game was winnable. McNabb throwing wounded quails and the usual piss poor clock management add up to another loss in a game they could have definitely won. that said : Terrell Owens is the fucking man. 122 yards on a broken leg. blackeyed

You think McNabb is overrated and isn't criticized by the media because he is Black?

McNabb lost the game last night for the Birds. the Defense, T.O., Westrbrook, and Pinkston kept them in the game that they SHOULD have won. i am a Dolphins fan, allways have been, the team i hate the most is New England.

Mcnabb is a great regular season quarterback.... but for what ever reason, he ALWAYS chokes in the playoffs. You just can't have a guy like that running your offence. i think it's time to start thinking about a trade

Andy Reid wasn't looking like a genius, either. 5 minutes left is a lot of time. But only if you get the team to, you know, act like it's important.

A year or two ago, Rush said that McNabb wasn't a very good QB, and speculated that he wasn't criticized more in the media because he's one of the few black QB's, and they didn't want to diminish him. Not because they were afraid of being called racists. It's just that PC thinking dictates that more minorities in fields and positions held traditionally by white guys is a good thing in and of itself, and should be encouraged. Or at least not criticized. His criticism was more about the media than anything else, that's his nature, that's what he does.for a living.

"I don't think he's been that good from the get-go," Limbaugh said. "I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. There is a little hope invested in McNabb and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn't deserve

Well it's certainly true he didn't belong in the Super-Bowl last night. I grew up in Dallas and my man Troy talked about calling two plays in the huddle and hustling to the line of scrimmage and watching those guys stroll out of the huddle was painful. Those passes McNabb was throwing deserved to get picked. I don't pay much attention to football anymore so I don't hear what people say about McNabb but I'd have to agree with Limbaugh on this, McNabb is not a Super-Bowl worthy quarterback. However, I commend the Eagles defense for getting the job done when needed.

i think mcnabb is a decent qb. definitely in the top 60-70% among starting QBs, but thats where it ends. i dont think he is nearly as good as the analysts and commentators talk him up to be. half the time, i dont know how they can call the games with their tongues so far up his ass. its worse than how they were with bret favre a few years ago where they praise his great plays and find something else to talk about when he fucks up. its annoying.

in my opinion, theres plenty of QBs who are more talented than him

1. daunte culpepper - definitely better. better arm, smarter, smoother. has a tendency to fumble, but all in all, a better player.
2. mike vick - this one is debateable, at least right now. put these two head to head right now, mcnabb may well have him beat. but i think vick is definitely more talented, and i think a year or two down the road his numbers will show it.
3. jake plummer - comparable to mcnabb. they play similarly, both like to run, but i think plummer might be a bit smarter. plummers achilles heel, which to me what keeps him from greatness is after years of being with a shit team in arizona, he still thinks he needs to carry his team in denver, where he doesnt and can lose the game. but still, i think hes a better QB.
4. peyton manning - hes peyton manning. nuff said. anyone who would argue mcnabb being his superior is either high or delusional.
5. trent green - i think green is one of the more level-headed and underrated players. since his team kinda sucks, and hes got good RBs to help him out he doesnt get the credit he deserves.
6. tom brady - pretty much everyone who isnt a pats fan hates his ass, but you cant argue that hes very talented, and completely impossible to rattle. this latter attribute is one of the key ingredients to being a good QB, something mcnabb lacks. how many times have you seen mcnabb pissed off on the sidelines. having talent is one thing, but if cant keep your composure, youre fucked.
7. chad pennington - chad is just exciting to watch. he can pull something out of his ass at any time, and hes still just getting started. hes probably my favorite QB to watch play.
8. marc bulger - he may have lost a step (or apparently lost a step) but hes got that extra element like brady that he can keep his mind straight and pull one out despite the odds.

9-11??? - i say im unsure of these three because i dont know if the players we saw this year were real or just flukes.
9. ben roethlisberger - if he is good as he looked this year, hes not only better than mcnabb but hes going to get a ring someday. or maybe he just had a good year and hes going to come back to earth next year. we shall see. im voting towards the former
10. drew brees - he sucked, then this year happened. once again, will the real drew brees please stand up.
11. matt hasselbeck - the opposite, looked great before, then fell apart this year. if theres anyone on this list i would strike, its him, but im still willing to bet he just had an off year.

in any case, i thoroughly enjoyed watching the eagles go down, and ill be real interested in seeing how the "experts" react to donovan now.

yes. especially towards the end of the game. by the time the pats were up by 10, i knew it was game, set, match. and even though that touchdown drive they got to make it a three point game was good, their following drive attempt was just pitiful. they looked lost and just sat by with their thumbs in their asses while the clock ran down.

Then why'd you add the Rush part at all? You could have made your statement without adding the race card into the equation at all, but instead, you let a surrogate's old arguement make the statement for you.

a friend of mine went so far as suggesting that maybe the eagles had no chance because donovan got paid to not really play... doubt it...
