Man, that completely sucks. What makes me really angry about it is that in a climate where the actual (not the perceived) crime rate has actually gone down or stayed about the same for decades in most places, the news media want to make old people so frightened of their neighbors and of young people that they have panic attacks about it.

The lady is only 49, was with her 18 year old daughter and was afraid that it was "neighbors they had tangled with in the past". Sounds to me like she is litigious and confrontational more than frail.

Its not like these girls were like 5 years old. Besides you gotta know a "random act"(of anything) after 9pm is a no-no.

Putting aside the fact that frivolous lawsuits like this keep me in business...

...yeah, that fucking BLOWS. Bet that's the last time those girls do anything nice for their neighbors.

Though I think it's a tad bit extreme (ok, fine, very extreme), everybody knows that 10 pm is the cutoff for phone calls, and 9:30 for house visits.

What's even more shocking is that 2 teenage girls spent a weekend night baking cookies for their neighbors. For no reason. shocked
