I'm lost
February 2004

FEB 02, 2005 06:42 AM

Your favorite groundhog was out this morning making his Groundhog Day prediction.

Sadly, it seems that there's more winter ahead.

The world's most famous furry forecaster saw his shadow Wednesday on Gobbler's Knob, suggesting another six weeks of wintry weather.

The chubby critter delivered the prediction after he was pulled from his burrow in an oak stump at 7:31 a.m. by a top-hatted handler, and his prediction was greeted by boos from the thousands in attendance.

Looks like there was a fun crowd -

In Punxsutawney, an energetic crowd of about 2,000 people was already assembled by 3:30 a.m. Most were bundled against the cold, but at least one young woman braved the weather in a bikini top.

That fat bastard is making so much money off those damn Powerball commercials, it's like he's doing us a FAVOR by dragging his ass away from his new 60" Plasma TV to give us a fucking weather report....the audacity ! Someone should remind that rodent that
maybe we are doing HIM a favor , by not turning him into a hat.

They should make a sitcom with the Groundhog and Chris Elliot. Where each week they get into wacky adventures and then learn a life lesson. I think I see it on Liftetime.

Can I start pulling hibernating animals out of burrows to predict things? I'll wear a top hat and everything! Go on, go on, it's based on an old Christian festival so it must be OK.

Eeks.. shadows.

Dude... if you woke me up in the middle of the night, pulled my ass outside, and just stood there looking at me like a bafoon, I'd walk back into my house and curl up in my bed too. That, or call the police and report a break in and assault. Be glad he didn't report that top hat clad man and the thousands observing the crime to the police.

I think he just saw his shadow to try and show up those damned politicians who balked at the millions he requested for his weather museum.
