So Men's Health magazine recently ran an article Ranking 101 of the largest cities in the US on their intelligence. Article Link My town, which I will not argue houses some very ignorant and stupid people, ranked 101...the stupidest city on the list. Now, if you read the article, they ranked them on mainly accademic values and not on the populace themselves, but I kinda take offense to the list. I mean I may not like this city or the majority of its population, but I'm one of them....I feel like now if I leave my town and someone asks where I'm from, I'll be ashamed to tell them....am I taking this too personal?
Well, just from an editorial view of your post/topic title:
1. "your's" is not a word. The word you seek is "yours."
2. "accademic" only has one "c." "A-C-A-D-E-M-I-C"
3. "populace" is a singular noun, and therefore should not be referred to as "themselves," but as "itself."
4. One cannot take something "personal." The sentence structure requires an adverb. "personally" is the correct form.
And you seem to think you're one of the smart ones in Ft. Wayne, so it kinda follows...
