Iraqi blogs mostly, like iraq the model, the mesopotamian and healing iraq. It's not exactly stuff that interests Western reporters.

Can I give you the exact source, right now? No. But I've read it. The salaries of teachers and doctors were absolutely appalling under Saddam. Something like $7 a month. Teachers now make something like $300 a month.

If you dont believe me, there's no reason why you couldn't email those Iraqis and ask them yourself.

Sadly, living standards haven't risen for all Iraqis, it's true

You know, for years and years the left was saying that sanctions were harming normal Iraqi citizens, and that Saddam was letting people die while he was building palaces. So, now that saddam has gone: Are the Iraqi people better off? If they're not better off, why not?
