Fox and NBC are as irresponsible in 2004 as they weere in 2000, Cuyahoga county (heavily Democrat) is still only 60 percent counted and there are still more than 150,000 provisional ballots in Ohio that won't be counted for 10 days. According to CNN the margin is 119.000.

You do remember 2000, don't you. Here's what really happened:

"In fact, the networks which called Florida for Gore did so early in the evening—before polls had even closed in the Florida panhandle, which is part of the Central Time Zone. NBC called Florida for Gore at 7:49:40 p.m., Eastern Time. This was 10 minutes before polls closed in the Florida panhandle. Thirty seconds later, CBS called Florida for Gore. And at 7:52 p.m., Fox called Florida for Gore. Moore never lets the audience know that Fox was among the networks which made the error of calling Florida for Gore prematurely. Then at 8:02 p.m., ABC called Florida for Gore. Only ABC had waited until the Florida polls were closed."

America is looking really bad in the eyes of the world population at this point. Too bad the lot of us that are sick of this mess are going to lumped in with the fools who are letting this madness continue.

I think I'm going to be sick! puke

or I think I might cry. frown frown frown frown frown

I'm definitely going to have a few drinks heavy on the alcohol tonight, and thank the powers that be that I have some Xanax to spare as well. I'm going to fucking need it. For those who are Bush supporters, the bad things that end up happening to you, because of your vote, you rightfully deserve.

I guess it's time get the hell out, I refuse to associated with utter ignorance so classically 'merican puke

Yep. Old people over 65 and Protestant Christians which congregate every Sunday have rallied in larger numbers than those of us who don't.

None of this surprises me. Most of the country in between the two coasts is pre-dominantly white rural, God & Country evangelical Christians, according to the news pundits. Bush, being the hardcore born-again Christian he is, has tapped into these people's beliefs, fears and morals (and who take the Bible at face value).

I already knew that the outcome would be this way ever since the hoopla over THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST - with the massive campaign amongst the Christians to support this movie in spite of protests and concerns from Jewish groups and leftists critics.

The same tactic was pretty much used early to get out the vote for Bush. They can have him.

I didn't like Kerry much (since he is far more left of center than I would've liked), but he was the lesser of two evils from my perspective.

For the record, I consider myself a Centrist Libertarian. So, I personally can't stand both the far right & the far left - I'm against anything that wishes to impede on my Individual rights in any way, shape or form.

Now, that the Conservative wing of the Republican Party will most likely retain the House & Senate (even picking up even more seats than before), I would expect a hardcore push to impose their domestic Christian agenda on the populace moreso than before while we're pre-occupied with the War.
