I voted earlier today and saw something very strange on my ballot. Bush was not listed as the "candidate for re-election" on my ballot. Every other incumbent on the ballot had the words "candidate for re-election" listed just under their party affiliation.

Now I found it funny cuz I don't think he actually won the election, but regardless I realize that something as little as this could sway voters. There are voters that just go down and either vote for or vote against every incumbent. So not have Bush listed as one could influence the results. I live in Mass so it's not as big deal seeing as the empty can of coke before me could beat Bush here. But if this occurs in a "swing-state" all ehll could break lose.

Has anyone noticed anything odd like this happening on their ballot?

Perhaps they don't bother doing it for a presidential candidate because, well, one would hope that everyone knows who the President is.

The names of state and local politicians, unfortunately, may not be as recognizable to voters.
