We all know the election will be close, maybe even closer then 4 years ago...my biggest fear though is that all the ballots from all the soldiers from overseas will be counted...4 years ago they weren't because some of them didn't have postmarks, this year is going to be even worse since the mail form Iraq is still fucked up even after more then a year of us being there.

I can take Bush winning....if its a fair election, what i don't want is another Florida and more overseas ballots not being counted.

S go out and vote and get Bush out of office!!! skull

It's even worse then you think. Some states are making soldiers revote due to courts rulling in those states that Nader isn't allowed on their ballots as of last week. So from certain states they made new ballots and sent them out a week ago and threw the origional ballots away. Those soldiers will never have their ballots in on time now, it's impossible.

What a fucking mess. Between that and voter intimidation and challenges... I'm nauseous right now, and it'll be even worse tomorrow. I've never been this nervous the night before an election.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one, it's bad enough that we're sending a bunch of kids halfway around the world to get killed, but to do it and then say "Whoops, sorry, we're actually not going to look at your vote" would be despicable.

This thread made me cry. This is an unspeakable injustice.

To ease your worries (a bit, anyway) check out

Current Electoral Vote Predictor:

Kerry: 298

Bush: 231

As of 11-1-04 at 10:15 EST.

This is just a prediction, based on a wide swath of poles but it's heartening, none the less.

My biggest worry tommorow is when I stay up late tonight if I'm going to wake up early enough to make it to work on time in the morning. tongue

My prediction is:

On Wednesday people all over the globe will be laughing hysterically as charges of voter fraud and ballot box stuffing run rampant. "World's greatest democracy" my ass. puke

My biggest worry about tomorrow is that we will find out that we won't know the results for quite a long time.

4 years ago the politicians knew there was a major problem and with the exception of a few superficial tweaks, did nothing to fix our voting system.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly uneasy about something possibly happening in DC on election day. It's not my biggest worry, but it crossed my mind more than once.

You're not alone. A friend of mine asked me just this afternoon if I was worried that some terrorist action might happen tomorrow. I'm not, personally, unless you count Republican voter fraud and not-so-veiled threats from the current President as terrorism.
