In an updated translation of Bin Laden's pathetic rant, he threatens the red states.

The respected Middle East Media Research Institute, which monitors and translates Arabic media and Internet sites, said initial translations of a key portion of bin Laden's video rant to the American people Friday night missed an ostentatious bid by the Saudi-born terror master to divide American voters and tilt the election towards Democratic challenger John Kerry.

MEMRI said radical Islamist commentators monitored over the Internet this past weekend also interpreted the key passage of bin Laden's diatribe to mean that any U.S. state that votes to elect Bush on Tuesday will be considered an "enemy" and any state that votes for Kerry has "chosen to make peace with us."

Nice try, NYPost...I guess reverse psychology works on 12 year olds and Post readers.

Funny that the only paper reporting this is a notorious rag. Why is this even here? And what, exactly did Totten "edit"? I mean, there are only 14 words that didn't come directly from the Post.

Great job, guys.

I can't believe people are as stupid they make them in this country. When this gets out, you can guarantee more than a few points will tilt towards bush and his gang of criminals... puke

The best part is the end of the tape, where Osama comes back out and the band starts to play "pieces of me" AGAIN....and you can hear his voice, but the mic is nowhere near his mouth! and he totally doesn't know what to do, so he launches into an awkward dance and storms off in tears.

Then he shoots his band.

thats so so funny.

If i've got this right, Osama doesn't want you to vote for the person who let him off scott free so he could go avenge his daddy.

Instead Osama wants you to vote for the guy who mentions killing him at least once a day.

Osama should have endorsed Bush, called him a close personal friend. That would have done the most damage.

Fucking seriously. Sheesh.

Okay, here's a tip for everyone posting news stories to the wire and to editors: If the story is pulled from a tabloid or thoroughly-discredited, moonie-owned rag, make sure it is actually reported elsewhere as well. The NY Post buys AP news stories to make itself look respectable, but everything written by the staff is pure tabloid crap.

yes, i DID know that. it just struck me as odd it only appeared in the Post - it should have been on fox, and also in the British papers, The Sun and The Times, they're Murdoch's too. Jon x

ps. I would have led a campaign to lynch murdoch if it weren't for how hilarious the post's headlines can be...

pps. so i guess we should move on to carl rove... any takers? (serious applicants only... seriousness determined by amount of rope and fuel broughtto table)
