Is anyone else having an Election Night Party? I posted a notice in my local regional group and invited everyone over. We're probably going to play board games and cheer/boo as they announce each state's results.

It will be like a long, nervewracking sporting event, only with a hell of a lot more at stake.

I'll be sitting in front of the TV with snacks for most of the night. I'll probably swear a lot and run up and down from my computer to read the commentary here.

I may have a 'post-any-number-of-court-decisions' party. Depends on who 'wins'.

There's an all night party in downstairs commons at my college.

Potentially followed by the first in a projected string of mass suicides. Or emigrations to Canada. It's only about 4 hours.

I'm not sure if we'll be drinking at my party. Some people have work/school the next day.

If Bush wins, however, I plan to down a bottle of Grey Goose. puke

the SGTC will be hovering around my television, and damn right there'll be liquor involved..either drowning our sorrows, or celebrating like it's 2004. and knowing my comrades' divergent political leanings, some of each is guaranteed.

THis is good to know. SGNY was considering something but we hadn't found a good venue yet.

I will be working that night so no parties for me. I imagine I will be listening to the radio all night to get updates.

We have a family get together every election.

Brothers, me, mom, stepdad, and various friends/family/significant others.

It's good. We all lean the same way, so we can all comfort/congratulate each other depending on who wins.

Also, there will be one at
Magnetic Field, which is more in the Brooklyn Heights/Cobbole Hill area. I will have a group here. All are welcome.
