electoral-vote.com, a site that compiles state polling data, says that the latest state polls predict that john kerry has 283 electoral votes vs. bush's 246.

kerry has taken the lead in five new state polls, and, although his leads are within the margin of error, the polls have clearly trended in his direction.

. . . the lead has changed in five states, and all five changes favor Kerry. As a result, Kerry has now passed Bush in the electoral college. If today's results are the final results Wednesday morning, John Kerry will be elected as the 44th President of the United States, with 283 votes in the electoral college to George Bush's 246.

the webmaster at electoral-vote.com has anticipated possible denial-of-service attacks by mirroring the site at electoral-vote3.com, electoral-vote4.com, etc., so try one of those if you don't get through at the regular url.

Dude. its why there is 2 parties.

I respect you guys. I dont hate you all. If Kerry Wins... Good. Good for you. Good for me.
If the guy I voted for wins... Good for me.

It's why there is a Democratic Party.. And a Republican Party..

And its why we VOTE.

Good Luck to everyone and everyones state. I wish you all the best of luck for
whoever you are voting for.

(i also find it hillarious that I am the only person I know that has voiced on this site that I am voting for Bush... there has to be more of you out there lol)
Good Luck

I like the concept behind this site, because I find the national polls to be completely useless, in this sense: we don't vote for President on a national level. How does it break down by state?

Until we dispose of the archaic, silly Electoral College, the nationwide vote is useless.

I voted for Bush already. My prediction is Kerry will win the electoral vote and Bush will win the popular vote. I hope that Kerry really means what he says about not pulling out of Iraq.

more so than zogby. for all of fox's bias, their polls tend to be close to the median, and considered reliable.

either way, i think the polls will be completely wrong. the turnout is going to be so high that pollsters will be completely baffled where they went wrong.

Talk of the Nation dude mentioned a skew due to "young people and their cell phones" ... I presume this is due to polling results coming from home phone calls?

Someone please essplayn this phenomenal skew?
