... if Republicans retain control of the House, Senate, and the White House for another 4 years, how will you find a way to blame Clinton and/or liberals for the total fucking disasters that will [continue to] occur?

Oh, I'm not doubting that you'll find a way. I'm just curious as to what the talking points will be. It'll be just like some people blame hippies for losing the war in Vietnam.

I can hear Rush Limbaugh saying it now "We would have won the war in Iraq if it weren't for these people, these protestors. I tell you, I really think they're the scum of the Earth. If only the insurgents had looked on their satellite TVs and seen us all waving flags in support of THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF, they would have impaled themselves on their bayonets in fear. Alright. Next up, why Organized Labor and the Homosexual Agenda are responsible for the $20 trillion budget deficit...."

I don't. It's a speculative exercise.

Keith, the Republicans don't define "disasters" the same way you do. As long as they get their huge tax breaks, they're fine. That's why Bush rarely mentions the economy and is always focusing on issues like stem cell research. You gotta either be extremely rich or extremely dumb to vote Republican right about now.

a part of me wants this to happen, (probably b/c i am moving to London) but i would love to see what their excuse is when
1. our economy falls even further
2. scientifically we are removed from the marketplace
3. women's rights revert back to the stoneage
4. the constitution is replaced with the 10 commandments in all government buildings
and
5. being gay becomes a felony

Liberals hate Bush, Republicans like Bush.

Vietnam was a long time ago

No matter who wins some people will not be happy

Their is no eazy way to deal with the war in Iraq

Bush isn't a genius

Kerry has a sugar momma

Christopher Reeve likes Stem Cells

I'd probally lay the pipe on Bush and Kerry's daughters

People from the south like to drink (I consider Texas part of the south)

Nothing is anybody's fault anymore

I don't think they're above completely ignoring the disasters they cause. Look at the war. All Bush keeps talking about is the "progress" they've made.

Bravo.

The only ommission you made was to hope for more casualties among our troops so support for the war erodes further.

In all seriousness though, it's pretty fucking gross to know there are people who wish ill on our country for nothing else than to be proved right on political grounds. You know it will only cause more suffering. So isn't that, um, a little selfish?

Hey, interesting way of reading you have there, Ecto. He didn't say he WANTS those things to happen, just that he would "love to see what their excuse is when" those things happen.
