What does "this is what we are responding to" mean?

And I appreciate the sentiment of the video, but I freaking hate that song.

every generation has a defining moment..one you will remember til the day you die. I can remember vividly what time I woke up, what first went through my head, what I did in the seconds that followed my realization of what happened...

I don't mean to sound like a prick, but I will....

If MY picture was ever put into a death montage, can we please not have Enya as the background music? thank you.

Yeah Enya is not a good choice for a song, well not at least that one. That's not being a prick, that's having a good choice in music.

really. what an ass.

.........................................

i'll just copy/paste my journal here...:

911 TRIBUTE (high quality) - i have watched this 100s of times over the past 3 years. beautifull done. painfull, wrenching, amazing, haunting, inspiring... everything that somethin you should never forget should be.

911 Tribute (low quality/bandwidth) same movie, for you dial-upers. you still may expierence some pauses tho.

911 TRIBUTE (a different high quality version)

here are some more. these are from the audio/video section of my SOCOM Online clan's website, BeerClan.net:

Tributation - a GERMAN tribute to the American soldier.

Die Motherfucker Die - flash movie made by fellow beerclan member.

Let The Bodies Hit The Floor - another one, by same guy.

Divine Intervention - a tribute to the SeaBees (battlefield engineers) the guys who build/rebuild shit.

American Heros - a very good, well done tribute.

some of you may not want to see or remember these events. but i think we should never forget. as a matter of fact.. i think they should run footage of the attack nightly, like they used to do with the National Anthem when TV stations signed off years ago.

cops, fireman, paramedics, rescue/recovery teams, soldiers...

we own them more than we could ever repay.

my girlfriend put it best:

"i remember when i was younger, hearing people say, 'i remember exactly where i was and what i was doing when i heard that Kennedy way killed'... and i used to be like, 'whatever...', but now i know what they mean..."

i do too...

i will never forget.

It's a ncie tribute but I could've done without the song. In fact, that song should never be played again, and it should be removed frm every sappy drama it's ever been added to.

i'm sure the person who made that had their heart in the right place, but honestly that is one of the most tacky and artless things i have seen in a long time.

Not being a prick; I don't think anyone needs to be *reminded* that it happened, and I don't really see the point of these kinds of threads, telling people to "never forget" something that no one could possibly forget.

I realize its cool on this site to be bitter and twisted, to knock everything and everyone. But for fuck sakes people..who cares about the song...have some respect. Remember the pasion you felt, the emotions you had...and if you didn't have any well..fuck off and leave the thread without disrespecting those who still have a bit of respect left for that day.

respect for the people who died is entirely different than respect for some crapass animation someone made in their spare time.

junk like this CHEAPENS what actually happened, and our memories of it.

so piss off, we know what we feel and we don't need some piece of shit flash montage to remind us.
