It seems one of the Bali bombers was treated to Starbucks in Jakarta recently.

Ali Imron was spotted Wednesday sipping coffee at a Starbucks in the central Plaza Indonesia mall, where security has been tightened after a wave of bombings targeting Western interests in recent years.

He was accompanied by Brigadier-General Gorris Mere, who is involved in the Bali investigations, and a number of armed guards, who quickly escorted Imron to a waiting car and drove away after being spotted by reporters.

What the fuck is going on here? Bringing a terrorist back to the city he bombed for a latte. I was hoping this guy would be seeing the inside of a dark cell for life but it seems he gets an escort to get free coffee. I don't get free coffee and I like to think I'm a decent person. The irony is this:

Some of the more than 30 militants convicted over the Bali attacks have testified that they had selected the nightclubs because of their hatred of the West and Western interests.

Yeah, but they didn't buy him a muffin, so they're still being tough.

And they only let him get 2 packs of Equal.

Indonesia thinks that if you're nice to evildoers, they'll knock off all that evil.

Even Western-hating terrorists like our coffee!

Erp. Maybe it's part of him turning over information: for every 8 hours of cooperation, we go out for Starbucks.

The real reason they bomb nightclubs, is that they were mocked as early teens for their dorky dancing. If we had only known then, what we know now.

tongue Good Stuff...but if it was all about the dancing, I fear what people who were 15-30 during the 1980's might turn out to be. skull

As a side note I rarely dance and have never been to starbucks...I'm a patriot! wink

Amazing how terrorists who profess to
hate Western culture and it's ways are
selective..such as the 2 9/11 hijackers
who days before flying into the WTC
were seen in South Beach at a strip club drinking whiskey. Usama definitely
didn't mind travelling from camp to camp in his air-conditioned SUV and most certainly did not pray to his Allah
to cure his kidney problems. No, he used dialysis..
What's more amazing is that his captors agreed to this..the closest he would have gotten to coffee would be the scalding hot coffee I poured on his face and genitals in the midst of our interrogation. But that's just me.

starbucks is a pretty foul place for me, large, grande, and venti? way to use three different languages you asshats. they hate american imperialsim, maybe that's all... i'm sure starbucks poses no threat, unless the barista gets a little too pushy about the crumble berry coffee cake.
